Why College Is Important To Me
I have had to master the important things in life, like how to file my taxes, maintain my car, balance a checkbook, and figure out how to pay for college at a young age of 19. My parents have not cared much about my education since middle school. They were always available to sign report cards and talked down to me when I did not make a grade that pleases them, but they weren't there to help me. Stressed out of my mind with test and projects with no support from my parents or family; was on my own when the time came to choose my classes. My parents knew to make it in the world you have to know how to provide for yourself and be independent. Their aspiration in life is to see me succeed by teaching me the skills I would have never learned if they had held my hand. Life doesn't get easier; you were just stronger. I can now say I'm happy my parents made me learn responsibility at such a young
