It is easy to see why Beowulf was an epic hero. He posed an extreme boastful personality, to the people at the time this was a very good trait to have. He was always seeking fame. The one particular event happened when he bragged about killing nine sea monsters out in the sea. He was always boastful to Hygelac about his victories of killing Grendel and his Mother which took place while he was in the land of Dane’s. With so many victories to speak of one could easily label him as an epic hero.
