I would have a variety of job opportunities, flexible hours and last but not least you would get to make a great and rewarding salary.
First, as a Pediatric Nurse I would have an excellent and flexible schedule to choose from. While having a child and being a single mom a flexible work schedule will be excellent for me and her. To me working whatever hours I like would really benefit me because I would be able to spend more quality time with my baby girl who means the world to me. My baby girl is the reason why I want to accomplish this goal.
Secondly, there is a wide variety of job opportunities to choose from such as a hospital, clinic, school, nursing home, and travel nurse. As a Pediatric Nurse I will have the opportunity to choose a position in the nursing field such as a staff nurse, floor charge nurse, floor unit manager, director of nursing and many more to choose from. When I become a Pediatric Nurse I would like to work in a hospital. I won’t to work with the babies. Being around children makes me feel on top of the world.

Becoming a nurse has always been a dream of mine. It started several years ago, when I came to this country from my native country Jamaica. My first job was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, taking care of a 92 year patient. It was a job I did well and look forward to doing every single day. I took care of this patient for five years until she died. It was during that time I realized taking care of people is my passion. I am presently taking care of several individuals at a nursing facility, and it is job that is very hard at times but a job I enjoy. I already know that I am a good fit because taking care of people is what I do.…

Being a Pediatric nurse is a profession that makes sure you aren’t doing the same thing every day. Working with children of birth to 18 years of age is the focus of being a Pediatric Nurse. I currently work at a daycare as a Pre-school teacher, and have recently discovered that I love working with children. Children are very optimistic, and working with them is such an interesting job. Being able to communicate with not only their parents but also the children is a big component of being a Pediatric Nurse. You want to be able to educate and work with the family to make sure the child or children are being raised in the best possible healthy lifestyle that is available. You have to learn how to be compassionate but not get too attached to every child that comes into the pediatrician’s office. With the opportunity of working as a Pediatric Nurse, I would love to work in a privately owned pediatric office, or another option I would consider would be working in the pediatric wing at a…

A practical nurse is something I would really like and enjoy to do. I feel I have the strength, courage, and potential to overcome and do anything that life gives me. I honestly believe anyone can do and/or overcome anything as long as you put your mind and hard work into it. I love to help other people in any way possible, if that involves putting a grocery cart back for someone, or even letting someone cross the street. I know I was put on this earth to help people, because that is all I can seem to do. I’m not saying I don’t stress and have a few breakdowns because everyone does, but you have to live life to the fullest and just be happy, because things could be a lot worse. I’ve found life goes smoother when you add a smile and live for the day. Now you know a few reasons why I would love to become an…

I want to go into the pediatric nursing field for many reasons. I really enjoy working with kids especially little children. Volunteering at a saturday school with 4-5 year olds I became very good and comforting a child when sad or lonely. I work well with little children and enjoy being with them. I also want to go into nursing because every time I go to the doctors I always feel as if the nurses there do not enjoy their job. Which is probably wrong but they just always seem so monotone. I am half japanese so every summer when I go over to Japan and need to go to the doctors, the nurses there are always smiling trying to ease the tension between the child and the nurse themselves and that is the kind of nurse I want to be. I want to be a nurse like that in America to show people how much of a difference it could make and could lead to less fear of the doctors office. I see…

As a child, I was the one in my family who took interest in caring for members who had scratches or bruises. I thought of myself as the "doctor" of the family. That idea carried throughout my years of elementary and secondary education. Nursing fulfills all of the criteria I am looking for in my personal definition of the perfect job. I chose nursing because it is a helping profession. Personality tests that have identified my as an accommodator support my decision to take on nursing as an occupation. I wanted to work in a field that is challenging and in demand. Nurses are especially valuable in these times because there is such a great nursing shortage around the world. As a nurse, I will be able to supplement my husband's income and help support our family. I will have the knowledge needed to be able to take care of my parents, family, and friends from a nursing perspective. Another major factor that influenced my choice to become a nurse is that after receiving my degree, there is always the opportunity for advancing towards…

Nursing is a career not just a job, nursing is treating people as a disease, but as a unique individual who has his/her own values, beliefs, needs, and also treat the family with respect, compassion, patience, and show that we care. I chose nursing because I have always liked helping people. Ever since I was a little girl I liked helping and I would tell my dad that if he was ever sick I would take care of him so he could get better. At first I wanted to be a doctor, a pediatrician to be exact, but I chose nursing because, nurses have more contact with patients and nursing school is shorter than medical school. I know I made the right choice because as I have been doing clinicals, I have been falling more and more in love with what nurses do, but throughout the process I have also seen what kind of nurse I do not want to be. During clinicals there was an agency nurse a patient did…
