Why Art History Is Important
As human individuals many different aspects of their life from wealth, appearance, and education can measure one’s character. All of those characteristics are tied together by the experiences humans learn over the years. Many are taught that education is the most important tool for life. Others are taught that religion and God must be the primary focus of their life. While other cultures rich in heritage might believe life should be lived just as their ancestors before them. All in all art is a common theme throughout the way people live their life and has been a tool for history in the development of human life. How that history built a foundation for life, brought culture to individuals, allowed self expression, developed skills through architecture, and brought unity to humanity are just some reasons studying art history is essential to any field of education. The magnitude of the education is to make the individual a well-formed student, which will provide understanding of yourself and the world you live in by encourage you to think beyond previous ideas and provide knowledge of creativity and innovation.
Using art we have the ability to transport to a different time and place throughout history. Depending on ones beliefs about the creation of the earth there has always been art involved to survive in any human situation.
