Why Are Photos Effective
The photos that are given are very emotional photos from the past and present. The photos make me feel a certain way. The pictures in the story also made me react differently then I thought I would. Lastly I thought the photos would be different then they were. Henceforth the photos are very effective for the readers in many ways.

These photos make me feel sympathy for the people there were involved in the Holocaust because they were judged on because of their race and forced through pain and death for no reason. Most people that were killed were innocent and did nothing but they had to go to the concentration camps that were shown in the photos on the website. To me this is heartbreaking, and I honestly do not know why anyone would hate someone

    My first impression of this photo is that it is sad but shows the conditions that many Americans faced during this time. Something that I like about this photo is that all three people are in focus, but the main subject is the mother. I also like that it is bright and taken in an actual place people spent time.     The whole story of the Holocaust is a very sad and depressing. When you first enter the museum, each person is given a passport with a picture of a child on it. Each child was involved in the Nazi rule and had their life forever altered because of it. As you go through the exhibits, you learn about the child and what happens to them throughout the Holocaust. At the end of this exhibit, you put your passport into a machine, and it tells you what happened to the child that you had. The one that I had was only six years old, and she didn't make it. There is one exhibit that is called "The Hall of Testimony". This is where you can hear the stories of the Holocaust survivors. There are also artifacts and documents that this museum withholds. It has actual copies of letters from Anne Frank. It's amazing that there are actual real documents that were able to be saved from this time. There are also images of the bunk beds that people were ordered to sleep in while they were in the death camps. The living conditions weren't by any standard, reasonable.
