Why Abortion Should Be Illegal
Why abortion should be illegal

An abortion is the medical process of ending a pregnancy so it does not result in the birth of a baby. Abortion has always been a major issue of discussion in our society and there are always different opinions on abortion. I am against this practice and I think abortion should be illegal.
To start with, it is false to claim that no one knows when life begins and dishonest to argue that abortion does not kill a human being. Every new life begins at conception. This is a known fact of biology. It is true for animals and true for humans. No matter what the circumstances of conception, no matter how far along in the pregnancy, abortion always ends the life of an individual human being.
Prominent defenders of abortion rights publicly admit that abortion kills human beings. They are not saying that abortion is morally defensible because it doesn't kill a distinct human entity. They are admitting that abortion does kill a distinct human entity, but argue it is morally defensible anyway.
Personhood is properly defined by membership in the human species, not by stage of development within that species. A living being's designation to a species is determined not by the stage of development but by the sum of its biological characteristics— actual and potential—which are genetically determined. If we say that the fetus is not human, e.g. a member of Homo sapiens, we must say it is a member of another species. But this cannot be.
Dictionaries define person as a “human being,” “human individual,” or “member of the human race.” What makes a dog a dog is that he came from dogs. His father was a dog and his mother was a dog, and therefore he is a dog. What makes a human a human is that he came from humans. His father was a human person and his mother was a human person, so he can be nothing other than a human person.
Women don't have four arms and four legs when they're pregnant. Those extra appendages belong to the tiny human being(s)

It is rational, can set goals for its future life. He shuts them all down pretty quickly, though. For one, he says: if someone who isn’t aware of himself, maybe they’re in a coma, then would that make them not a person? And two, if someone is seriously depressed and suicidal, would killing them be alright since technically, they have no desire to continue their existence as a person? Three, maybe someone is mentally unable to plan things for their future, would that make them not a person and killing them would be moral?…

Abortion is a legal and necessary medical procedure to have available in the United States. Despite spiritual, emotional, or physical beliefs, the basic truth of any right or law is that a person is free to express his or her opinion and to fight for causes, provided it does not harm another person. This concept could also be applied to the issue of abortion. Though some may argue that a woman who gets an abortion is, in fact, harming another person, medical research has yet to define personhood as happening in the “moment of conception.” Personhood (which is what the concept would apply to) is defined as happening in the “moment of birth” (ProCon.org, 2012).…

What is an abortion? Should abortions be legal in the United States? An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Today, abortion is one of the most controversial topics in the United States, some people believe abortions should be illegal, but abortions are legal nationwide. My opinion is that abortions should be illegal because an unborn baby should have a chance at life just like the two who conceived it. Abortions should be illegal because there are ways to prevent a pregnancy, it is the killing of a living human being, murder, and it’s a possibility that a woman can have complications after an abortion including psychological trauma.…

Abortion is the act of killing the foetus or baby while it is still in the mother's womb. In the US and many other countries this is legal for the first four months of the pregnancy as aborting after four months is said to be terminating the life of not so much a foetus but a baby. There are a few different methods of abortion. One is to have the baby surgically removed through which the baby's feet are pulled by the abortionist and the living baby is pulled out of the womb except for the head. The abortionist then creates a wound in the base of the baby's skull with scissors or a metal tube and removes the baby's brain with a sucking vacuum-like machine before completely delivering a dead baby. Another way is to medically abort which involves taking medication in the form of a tablet to make impossible conditions in the womb for the baby to live and then delivering the dead foetus.…

Life starts when two reproductive cells unite. It is false to say that life begins when a baby is born. If they aren’t alive, then why do women kill them? Babies start as a tiny embryo, and they grow and grow. They are born, then they keep growing into an infant, and then a child, and then eventually an adult. The only difference between the embryo in the womb, and the adult lots and lots of nutrition and say 20 years time. “Abortion (is) murder (because) the being inside the mother is living. The definition of something living includes the ability to grow, which is exactly what is going on inside a woman who is pregnant. An abortion ceases the growing process, therefore ending the future life of a human being. This little being may not start off with a heartbeat or brain activity, but cells are still dividing and allowing it to grow.” (Ross,…

I simple fertilized egg in my opinion is a person, but only if it is actually in the mother. I do not think a fertilized egg sitting in a lab is a person It is scientifically proven that from the moment of conception the eye color, hair color, and skin color are all set. Once the egg is fertilized there are 46 total chromosomes which is what makes us human, 23 from the mother and 23 from the father. After the egg is fertilized the ball of cells is called an embryo. So in my opinion after the egg is fertilized (given that it is in the mother) it is a human because all these traits are set, and there are 46 chromosomes. Even if you do not think this is technically a human at this point it at least has the potential of becoming a baby.…

Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus (“Definition of Abortion - Google Search”). One of the most inhumane actions is murder. Abortion shouldn't be legalized for the following reasons: the unborn child feels pain during the process, it could possibly cause psychological damage, it shows that human life is disposable, and abortion is MURDER!!!!…

    abortion is a crime

First of all, one of the reasons why abortion is considered a crime is because it is an act of murder as expectant mothers don’t permit their child to live. Moreover, it is believed that interrupting pregnancy at a very premature stage it is not considered a homicide. However, scientists have demonstrated that birth from the first moment an ovule is fertilized, a human life has begun. In other words, from the time a child is conceived, the baby starts his/her development rapidly, and just within a few weeks, the fetus already forms the features of a human body. For instance, by the ninth week of pregnancy, the baby already starts moving inside the womb; by the twenty- first day, he/her heart starts beating; and by the sixty-fourth day, the eyes are forming, and so on. All this characteristics make the fetus to be considered as a human being despite the fact the baby hasn’t born yet. So, by doing this terrible act, not only demonstrates the wickedness of a person, but also the insensitivity of taking away the life of an innocent child without any remorse.…
