In my opinion the people who surrounded Romeo and Juliet were mainly responsible for their deaths and the consequences. However it can be considered as destiny that Romeo and Juliet are surrounded by such people who in the end are responsible for their deaths. For example it is not by chance that Juliet had such a Nurse and Romeo had such friends which encouraged those coincidences and took part in major events such as Mercutio’s death.
Nurse- she is one of the closest people to Juliet and is always found by Juliet’s side. She plays a significant part in Juliet’s death.I t can be considered as destiny that the Nurse was such a woman since if she was more wise then she would have forseen the harsh consequences of Romeo’s and Juliet’s acquaintance The Nurse can be blamed for Juliet’s death because she did not give proper advice to young and foolish Juliet. This is seen very often, but it is specially shown when he discovers that Tybalt killed Mercutio , because he cannot prevent himself from becoming infuriated and losing control over his passion for revenge. Also when he finds out that he is banished he cannot take charge of his emotions and think of a solution. I think this is mainly due to his youthfulness and immaturity.
At the end of the play Romeo makes an impulsive decision to end his life. He is so blind by juvenile love and youth that he does not see what he should really do. This is probably the real reason for his death. As J.B. Henneman said: “character is destiny. Romeo is precipitate: he goes to the ball uninvited: he jumps over the garden wall to speak with a girls he just met ; he marries Juliet off-hand, he comes between Mercutio and Tybalt , he slays Tybalt and later slays himself at the tomb of his lover.
