Who Is The Dumbest Generation?
Generation Z, people born between the years 1996 and beyond. A generation responsible for some of the greatest inventions, ideas and changes in history. Many people believe that the people of generation z are the dumbest generation and have not lived up to the standards of the past generations. Their main argument is that technology is blame and that it contributes to a decrease in productivity. Generation Z is actually the most diverse, technologically and multicultural generation in history. The Centennials has been exposed to a myriad of new ideas and learning platforms, innovative ways of thinking have emerged affecting everybody whether they realize it or not. To begin, growing up the Centennials have been introduced to so many different types of new technology and applications. Children as young as five are now able to navigate through their parent's phones, unlike the baby boomers or millennials. In past years higher education was not an option for so many people forcing students to get jobs straight out of high school. However, times have changed and the Centennials are have been applying and getting accepted into universities at higher percents as the years go by. Higher education is now accessible through financial aid, community college, and even online courses. There are also new courses available that make finding jobs and careers much easier and enjoyable. In the last few years, coding has been a very popular choice for many students in out of college. Going back to second paragraph children are also encouraged to explore activities like coding. This generation is filled with people who have made technology a priority in their life and now have to deal with the consequences. People often state that everything is okay in moderation. Eating in moderation, exercising in moderation, and in this case, technology in moderation. Technology will always advance, and there is no way to stop that. Nevertheless, what could reduce the harm of technology is using it in a way that does not consume one’s entire life. In addition, future generations need to be taught to understand when enough is enough. More tough love, independence, and patience would be more constructive to children, rather than the impatience and dependence that have resulted from excessive exposure to technology.
