Who Is Snoop Dogg?
Have you ever heard of the rapper by the name of Snoop Dogg? If so i can say this he is one of my favorite west coast artists who entirely, and honestly changed the perception of hip hop in many ways. He has gone to do as much as release 11 studio albumn's and help pave the way for west coast music. Now what is he up to? He recently stepped out of the ordinary and in late 2013 released his first reggae album entitled "Reincarnated". Following his current music Snoop has still remained in some way close to his roots blowing smoke non stop, as well as continue to rap, aside from his new reggae name and look. You ask yourself what is blowing smoke? It is street term or slang word for "the act of smoking marijuana". Snoop in the past always has talked about smoking marijuana and in many ways reflects in his music and lifestyle. At one point Snoop did decide to quit for a couple of years, which was during the birth of his second son. When "Snoop" was growing up his mother had given him that nick name him due to the cartoon character of "Snoopy" from the Peanuts Cartoons. Yet with the release of his newest reggae album Snoop Dogg has gone as far as changing his name to "Snoop Lion". Why Snoop Lion? On a recent trip to Jamaica joining the Rastafarian movement, the tribe of Judah recently baptized him as "Snoop Lion" after the lion of Judah. For that same reason and with the meaning behind it, states that Judah is Jesus reincarnated which "Snoop Lion" has gone as far as stating that he is "Bob Marley" reincarnated. Bob Marley who was a major carrier in Rastafarian nation is major influence for a lot of people who mainly listen to reggae along with "Snoop Lion" he has been both praised and criticized for his decision changing of music, look, name and style of
