Just like Odysseus, my dad has trials in life. In Odysseus’ life one of the things he dealt with was The Island of the Cyclops. In my dad’s life he dealt with being tempted to doing drugs and he got addicted. Odysseus overcame this trial with stabbing the cyclops eye. My dad overcame this trial by Jesus and finding help with our pastor.
Another trial that Odysseus went through to get home was they stopped at Helia and Odysseus’ men eat forbidden cows and all his men die. This was hard for Odysseus because now he had to fight by himself. My dad stills has his past and all the memories but he asked for forgiveness and and now that is in the past.
