Who Is Julius Caesar A Role Model
What do you consider a role model? A parental figure, a hero, a friend? A role model can be thought of as many things. A role model can be anything or anyone. I see a role model as someone who helps guide your life choices. Help mold the adult you will become. A guide to your occupation and your home life. They could save you from conflicts. Assist you with choices that they have made that could reflect on your life. Delve into the story of my role model and learn who and why they inspire me. Julius Caesar. A name mentioned in history books. A name recognized by hundreds. He is my number one role model. Born in the great land of Rome, nobody knew he would accomplish great things. Historians don't know much about his child life, but his adult life was inspiring. Caesar was also an amazing leader. He was appointed dictator by the city for his heroic accomplishments. "Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus were both former enemies...together, the two of them led the assassination of Caesar on the 'Ides of March' (the 13th), 44 BC." (Julius Caesar Biography) We don't know the exact age or time he was assassinated, but we do know how and why he was killed. Gaius, Brutus, and many other Senators didn't like Caesar as much as the others. They didn't seem to enjoy the fact the Julius was appointed dictator. "The Senators were just a bunch of rich guys an they wanted to keep everything to themselves. So they decided Caesar had to be stopped" (O'Malley 13) Historians suspected that a majority of the Senate wanted to end his life, so they went along with Gaius and Brutus' plans for Caesars murder.     This continued and the Senators became very angry with Caesar's violent and un patient ways until they became so fed up they had to get rid of him. They plotted against him for weeks meeting separately. They planned on murdering him at the senate because they could hide their daggers in their togas and only Senators could enter.     Julius Caesar was a dictator of the Roman Empire. His rule was adored by nearly everyone, especially the poor and lower classes. Caesar fought in many battles, which gained him notoriety.
