Who Is Abigail Williams A Victim In The Crucible

Doesn’t just about everyone have that one friend who is just straight up mean and lies all the time. Take that person and multiply their personality by ten and they will still be nowhere close to being as evil as Abigail Williams. She is the utmost stuck up self-centered person in the story. She has no respect for anybody seeing as to how she believes they are rodents compared to her. Throughout the story, she hurts many people and ruins many more people's lives. Abigail's personality can be described as a Rose. She is beautiful on the outside, but underneath the “red petals” is a “long thorny stem”, that being her dark evil personality.

More power. Abigail Williams believed she was powerful since she was a “victim”. She thinks she can do anything and control anyone without any consequences. She has shown us her demonstration of power many times in the book. Her first demonstration of power was when she tried controlling her friends and saying “No he’ll be comin’ up. Listen, now; if they be questioning us, tell them we danced—I told him as much already.” (Miller: 1136). Her second demonstration was when she tried to obtain John to leave his family for her. She needs to wake up and realize that she is in a world filled with other people who are equal to her. She needs to realize she does not have all the power. By the end of the story, Abigail does change, but it's for the worse, unlike any of the other characters who realize what was going on and changed for the better. Abigail was corrupted and it is so bitter to notice how much harm one person can cause. There were many times in the story when she had the chance to change, but her mind was set on more power and having John, and that’s what made her such a dreadful
