Who Am I Essay
What are my career field goals and aspirations? Where do I see myself in five years? Well, one of my biggest career field goals would have to be owning my own successful performance automotive shop as well as building cars and restoring classics. In five years I see myself a college graduate, starting a family and getting my business up and running. Being only 19, many may think that having my own business at 24 is a bit far fetched but I always set challenging goals for myself because you nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it and are motivated for the outcome.

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to have a job that I would wake up every morning and smile before I went in. As a little boy I fell in love with cars and everything about them. I knew from that moment thats what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. As I matured I began piecing together my plan for success and to this day not much of it has changed. Having a plan is the easy part of it, actually acomplishing it is the difficult part. Not too long ago I enrolled in an Automotive Service and Management course to start doing what I need to fulfill my dreams of owning my own business. Throughout the years I have taught myself most of the things I know about cars from makes and models all the way to wiring, motors, and performance part installation. Running an automotive shop is my dream for two major reasons: 1. I have always had a deep passion for cars and working on them has alway helped relieve stress and 2. I will be able to go to work and make a living doing something I love doing. Waking up and

getting to work on cars all day would not be considered “work” to me. I would be living the dream.

Five years from now I see myself under the hood of a car doing what I do best and what I love to do. I see myself just getting back from a wonderful honey-moon in Hawaii and Italy with the girl of my dreams. Well, now that I’m a married man of course kids are up for discussion

    My Own Identity Essay

One’s own identity is derived not by circumstances, but rather by his or her experiences, moral values, as well as motivation. Especially in today’s media, people love to read or watch about impossible stories of rags-to-riches, and they try to incorporate those stories’ motivational plots into their quest to become successful. I concur with Thomas Merton in that I believe “identity is much more than the name or features one is born with. True identity is something people must create for themselves.” One’s origin does not fully account for one’s identity, but it is shaped rather by actions and perception of self. Ideals from “People Inside Me”, “Cut”, and “Commencement Speech at Mount Holyoke College” all influence my point of view regarding…

Identity is something human beings hold dear. Humans are very complex beings and it is difficult to pinpoint exactly what makes up who a person is or can be. Now, the most common generalizations as to what makes up an identity are: personality, likes, dislikes, experience(s), religion, soul, memories and beliefs. A physical form isn’t mentioned; because the body is a temporary thing. A body doesn’t necessarily mean that it is part of the identity since; what will last forever in not the body but the impact left by personality or ideas, for they are everlasting.…

There is an unfortunate reality in that there are millions of people around the world who are willing to do almost anything, even lose themselves, just so they can be accepted and become part of the crowd. To keep things in perspective, wanting to be accepted, wanting to fit in is not exactly a bad thing. In fact, it’s basic human nature for survival and social growth, and it starts at a very young age. During our developmental years, we feel the need to be accepted or be worthy of acceptance. This can’t be met when you are isolated, other people have to be involved if these needs are to be met.…

According to the assessment, my highest score of 34 was in the category Artistic, next was Social with 32 and my last 2 categories tied at 11 in the categories Investment, and Enterprise(National Center for O*NET Development). In tying this into my Job zone assessment, my results show that I am willing to add more education in order to have a specific career. By choosing to add more to my education, I found my top career choices to be a Mental Health counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Counseling Psychologist(National Center for O*NET Development). This does not surprise me considering I have been pursuing a career in mental health. It is a good exercise to keep your plan in focus. This is important because as many career-counseling theorists suggest, a career path can often change as life changes (Niles and Bowlsbey, 2013).…

Who am I? That is a good question. I guess I really never stop to think about it. Most people are defined by their family or their career. For example, if I were to ask "who is Barack H. Obama?" most people would say that he is the president of the United States. If you asked about any-one, they would usually explain who the person is by what they do or who their family is. So if you want to know that, well, I am a senior at Milford High School, I am the daughter of Eric and Pam B....and I am 17 years old. My real name is Sam, but most people would call me “Sam” or “Sammie”. I was born in the United States of America and lived with my grandmother. My grandmother would look at me as a beautiful young lady because I have grown up from a little…

I often wonder when I am stuck in my thoughts. Like feeling like the cement is taking over your body. Why I am me, and I do the things I do and I say the things I say. And then I wonder if it is a paradox or something we truly don’t find out until we get older until we have many experiences and learn not to do things and we go through some hard things and some happy and some sad and we regret. We wish we could take back things we said we wish we could be someone were not. We think the thunderstorms, rain showers that are going on inside of our heads are merely just nonexistent we care too much but yet we don’t care about the things that we should. We wish we could be everything were not. It’s almost as if us as humans like we are designed like…

People have told me that nothing else matters in a profession besides being passionate about what I do. As a toddler I remember taking my most treasured toy, a bright red Ferrari Testarossa Hot Wheels car, and rolling it back and forth on the glossy, white tiled floor of my house. It never left my hands, accompanying me to restaurants, my grandparent's house, and even Disney World. Somehow, the simplicity of this toy car fascinated me.…

I enjoyed taking these tests because it gave me an idea of what my personality is like and what my weakness and strengths are. I feel these results accurately described me because I have taken previous tests like these in high school and got about the same results. It is good to see that some areas have improved, while others, like my anxiety levels, have increased. I now know more about my personality and what other people see when they talk to me. I am a very depressed person, so I feel like everyone thinks I’m stupid or annoying or just weird. My results showed me that I do have great skills in dealing with rejection, that I am practical and down to earth, and that I have an average score in social situations. It is also good to know that I am mostly agreeable. I think these tests are reliable because a lot of times people won’t tell you what they really think of you and you are kind of just left guessing. These tests ask relatable and practical questions with easy answers that are simplely just agree or disagree. My favorite test was the anxiety test, because I have been diagnosed with anxiety. I worry about almost everything that can go wrong and usually don’t look at the positive things going on in my life. It’s good to know my level of anxiety, because I never knew it was actually that high. These tests have really shown me my true personality and it feels great to know about them, even the ones that are bad and low scores.…
