When Shakespeare Kills Off Lavinia Death Analysis
In terms of Shakespeare he never just kills a character, that death means something. It is meant to elicit an emotion, whether that be shock, saddest, anger, or what have you. The characters also never just die or are just killed, they are murdered or commit suicide in violent and emotional ways. When Shakespeare kills off Lavinia, it feels right in the senses that her sadness and pain can be over. Her death leads to the climatic last scene were all is revealed and Titus kills Tamora and Sat kills Titus and Sat is killed by Titus's last living air. Lavinia's death leads to the end of the play and Lucius telling everyone what happened. In the end, it is Lavinia's death that ties up the play and it allowed for revenge to be had by all.
