Whats In It For Me Essay

What’s In It for Me?
My whole life I was determined that I wanted to be my own boss, whether if I created my own or simply just bought into a franchise. Now being aware of how hard it is and how unlikely it will be, I decided to go down the long road of business marketing. With this line of work my long term goal is to be a marketer for big a corporation. I will start small with local franchises in Cincinnati, but hopefully end up at Owen’s Corning one day. Within this field I expect to market not only locally but worldwide. The work would consist of: surveys, product launch ideas, a lot of traveling, cold calls, making presentations, figuring out customer genres, and just generally marketing my business against the competitors. I also expect to use technology a lot within this field since our society tends to not look at anything that is not electronic anymore. I am more interested in the software and systems more than the hardware. There are many that catch my eye but I will be focusing on: Websites, Emails, Mobile Marketing, and the most important Social Media. The reason being is they all have the something important in common, everyone knows what they are and where to find them. The only dilemma would be the elders who may not know what they are or even care about them. That’s only a small percentage though. The first technology based angle I would take would be a Website. Websites have become business necessities when it comes to marketing products. They allow plenty of room to share product details, reviews, photos and videos that engage potential customers. They also provide online purchasing to help out the people who hate waiting in line to check out.
The Second angle I would take is email marketing, because it is one of the most affordable and easiest ways to market a product. Businesses that have built email lists from reviews or purchases from their websites have a large base of customers

Without customers you are nothing. So it is crucial to keep them coming back. The more they buy the more you make. It is a great idea to give buyer awards. This will keep existing customers coming back to try to redeem their awards. That will help persuade them to buy more and more. At my nursery we have a program where you get one stamp for a twenty dollar purchase. When you get ten stamps you get twenty dollars off. This gives us so many repeat customers. New customers will give you a piece of the money pie you never had before. They can spend money with your company that you didn’t expect. It is easy to gauge repeat customers spending but new customers are unreadable. They could spend one dollar or thousands. Think outside the norm; advertise where you haven’t before to try to gain new customers. This will gain you followers that had maybe never heard of you before. Touch markets you maybe didn’t advertise to before. Every demographic can be reached with the right advertising technique.…

Photographers are often great artists and mediocre business people. Marketing can be a daunting challenge for the independent photographer. One great way to take some of the expense and challenge out of generating new clients is to ensure that you are maximizing the photography opportunities with existing clients. Once you've built a relationship with a client, they are more likely to use you for their future photography needs. It is important to spend the time to maintain a relationship with your existing clients, so that when the time comes, they think of you. Also, by adding new lines of service, you can give your clients ideas of new photo sessions that they might not have otherwise planned. It all comes down to examining your business and seeing if there are opportunities for growth into other sectors of the photography industry that would be a good fit for the needs of your existing client base. One great opportunity for expansion is into the boudoir photography market.…

A second innovation in technology would be the usage of social media sites for example Facebook and Twitter. With these social media sites in place it allows for businesses to promote their company and their products. Since everyone is always on the internet nowadays and no one hardly watches the news you have to go where the audience is. With allowing businesses to promote their products and services via these social websites other businesses can look and decide whether they would be interested in doing business with that company. So, social media is great for promoting and acquiring some new business colleagues.…

During the summer of 2014, I had the opportunity to be an intern at Advantage Resourcing, Inc. in Southfield Michigan. I got firsthand experience in the field of Marketing and Business in just the matter of four months. It was an honor and privilege to be one of the eight interns who were selected to be a part of such a vastly expanded and innovative business such as this one. Through this great opportunity, I found and channeled my strengths and learned what it takes to be a successful businessman. I was able to get hands on in business affairs and get to know clients and fellow business partners personally. Interacting with clients showed me how business men and women both get involved and accomplishes goals in the business field. Despite only being just an intern I worked hard for this enterprise and in return they made me feel a part of a family. This was a family that is a team with one goal, which was to find and provide the best engineers for our automotive clients here in the city that is known and proud of to be the home of classic American cars, Detroit, Michigan.…

Markets. You have to know who your market is. Actually, on the internet, this is a bit more difficult than in an old-fashioned retail store or even a traditional mail-order business. My personal and professional Goals in marketing are real appealing to me as it is arguably the most important department of any business. I understand the importance of marketing for all companies, whether it be small, medium or a blue chip company. I believe it would challenge my more creative side as well as testing my theoretical skills. I'm particularly interested in the more creative advertising side of marketing and the physiology behind it. My father owns his own Yacht customizing business, and my brother is in marketing business so I appreciate how advertising campaigns can work and understand how these contribute to the marketing campaign. My mother is also part owner of the family business, so I have experienced business throughout my life and I believe this has contributed to my passion towards this subject of Marketing Communications. Having worked for my brother in sales , I'm especially familiar with the retail industry, although I've also worked for America Online in the sales department, I believe these jobs have helped increase my confidence and improve my communication skills.…
