What I Am After Ten Years?
WHAT I AM AFTER TEN YEARS?

Ten years ago I was in my elementary days, a child that the only thing that wants to do is to do homework after school, eat, watch television and play with friends. A child that don’t care about the future. And if you asked me if what I want to be, I will simply answer you that someday I’ll be a princess I will live in the castle together with my prince charming like Cinderella. Yes, when we are child we like living in fantasies, we believe in fairy God mother that will help us in our problems. We believe that in every bottle we find there is a Jennie inside of it that if we simply rub our hands we will meet Jennie and he will grant our three wishes. But as years goes by we find it funny we find it weird because we then realize that those things are just castle in the sky, out of reality.
In sitting back and having to review my life and what I would like to do in the next 10 years, I realized that I really have it all figured out. My next step would have to be actually putting my best foot forward and claiming that big ladder of success. Well for me life is a matter of choice. Now for my eighteen years of existence and if you will asked me if what I want to become or where I was headed, I will be proudly answer you that I would like to achieve many things but there are three main things I would like to accomplish those being: to become a software engineer, a successful businesswoman, having own house and car and to become a German citizen.
My papa is a software engineer in Germany. I was inspired of what he is doing so I decided to take IT as course. The day before graduation I asked myself what course I will take. It’s so hard to choose especially when you have several ideas and aspirations in life but I focus on the things I was interested, computer- my crush! My goal as IT professional someday is to work on system specification, writing programs, testing and integrating code, creating maintainable code and documentation. If

Everyone is asked one question, at a very young age. That question is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” There isn’t a time I can remember when an adult didn’t ask me this question. When I was six, I would respond with the usual movie star, fashion designer, or veterinarian. My answer would be said confidently, as at this age I walked through life as if it were no big deal. My answer occasionally changed to fit with my many childhood phases, but my view on the question stayed the same. When I was a child, I replied to this inquiry the same way everyone else did; I answered with an occupation. It took me years to discover my new approach to this question. My new response did not include my dream job, but how I saw myself in the future.…

I’ve always had the same answer to the question of what I want to do when I’m grown up: “I don’t know, something I enjoy hopefully”. As overused as I think the saying is, the cliché saying of “Find something you enjoy doing, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” does have some truth to it. Growing up, children become fascinated with the ideas they encounter all around them. Stories they have read in books, fairy tales they have seen on television; its inevitable for children to create this so called idea of “happily ever after” in their minds, because that is all they have been accustomed too. “Cinderella,” being a perfect example, has created this facet of stumbling upon prince charming and living happily ever after. In Anne Sexton’s “Cinderella,” the speaker uses a nonchalant tone, graphic imagery, and repetitive similes to critique the cultural misconception of what happiness truly means.…
