what the fuck is this?
Essay#3 and guaranteed future. Contentment also means not comparing. If you start to compare yourself with other people, you can’t stop comparing. Someone else somewhere else in the world has more than you. Your life will go by while you just compare yourself to others. You have to know that there are some people who are dying because they have no food, no water or no shelter. Right Now, you are reading my essay. You should appreciate that you are not illiterate, even though there are many illiterate people in the world. Appreciating the graces you receive each day and being content knowing that your needs have been filled simplifies life’s little joys. The things that you want will never bring complete happiness. But to be content every day brings happiness that lasts day after day.

The third factor is: ‘find the purpose of your life’. Finding our purpose in life is not an area of philosophy or religion. It can be anything such as realizing your dreams, helping other people or having a child. Follow your inner voice to find purpose. Sometimes, we should do things that we don’t want. But always keep in mind why you are doing it. If it is your work for the money, try to remember what you are going to do with that money. It might be because you have a family that you love or you are planning to go travelling with the money. You are doing it for big reasons. Incidentally, everything that is happening around you has a purpose. Find the deeper meaning, and you will be able to see that your activities are still worth doing.

Happiness can come to us when we have a peaceful mind, contentment and a purpose. None of them are easy but all of them are possible. You don’t need to pay to be happy but we have to decide to be that way. Already many people know about these discreet three methods and practice them. You can get into them, don’t hesitate. Just start right now. Be happy.

So factors leading to happiness can be various, but one of them is definite. Publius Ovidius Naso, or simply Ovid, a Roman poet, said that a happy person is one who protects his beloved. I totally agree – we get true happiness only if we love and take care about who we love. Love is the most powerful…

It’s often a misconception that in order to find happiness you must have the approval of others or loads of money or a beautiful face. In a way all of those thing can add to one's overall happiness but, most of the time in the midsts of trying to achieve these things we wind up making ourselves miserable. What you think is happiness is really just the acceptance of someone who doesn't really care. “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind” (Geisel). Most who would read that statement would look over it as a cheesy piece of advice and not give it a second thought,…

Happiness comes from within. Many people could be living in the same environment and facing the same challenges but some seem to be happier than others. No matter what one’s challenges are, it is one’s choice and decisions to live a happy and content life. There has been an unfounded belief that the rich are happier than the poor but research has given contradicting results. I cannot say that I have lived a happy life but after watching the “Happy” documentary, I am now ready to live positively and happily no matter what circumstances I am facing. I have realized that we make ourselves unhappy by complaining about the problems we face in our day-to-day life rather than appreciating the good side of life. We should focus on the positive aspects of life and try as much as we cannot to let the negative aspects of our lives ruin our happiness.…

Happiness is not something people can demand, it is something people find. In the comic “I demand Euphoria,” by Bill Waterson, and illustrator from drawing comics, says “ Happiness is not good enough for me, I demand euphoria.” Many people would agree with this statement, however happiness is something people have to find in life. In addition to this, the article “There is More to Life Than Being Happy,” by Emily Smith, a writer for In the Atlantic says “Happiness is about drive reduction. If you have a need or desire like hunger you satisfy it, and that makes you happy.” In other words, you can not demand happiness, you have to work for it to truly be happy when you are satisfied with your life. Another thing said in a documentary entitled “happy,” they talked about something called the Hedonic Treadmill. The Hedonic Treadmill is when you get something that you have been wanting for a long time, then when you get it, then you want something better than what you have now. That is why when you buy things for yourself, and you think it will make you happy, it will only last a few moments.…

    1. Describe how the population of the Pacific Northwest changed from 1900 to 2000. In 1900 the foreign born in the Pacific Northwest was mostly Western European with a percentage of around 33%. Around the 1990’s the foreign born becomes mostly Asian-Middle Eastern with a percentage of foreign born at about 8%. The lower percentage is due to the population increase and the immigration acts, which both decreased foreign born (1924) and then increased foreign born again (1965). In 2000 the percentage of foreign born increases to around 15% with mostly Asian-Middle Eastern foreign born people.…

Firstly, to know what do you want in your life maybe the most important step in your new way of life. It is important because you need to know where are you going, or at least what material object or thing would make your life easier and better. How to decide what you want on your life? You just need to lie down and close your eyes and start breathing only using the nose or just focusing your mind on it, and then you have to imagine what you would like to happen on your life. You have to imagine yourself in the situation you want, how would you feel? It’s important to remember that feeling because is what will give you the motivation and the inspiration to take whatever you imagine. For example, if I want a Ferrari, I would imagine myself driving one Ferrari but when I open my eyes I have to remember what I was feeling while driving that Ferrari.…
