What Is The Role Of Social Services In Schools
Social services interests are with the welfare of children and making sure they are safe from harm, they work together with other agencies and the parents of children. In severe cases, schools may contact social services, if they have concerns about the safety of a child being with their parents or carers then the child may be taken into care, for their own safety. NSPCC is a voluntary run organisation, they have local service centres across the UK, they are the only charity which have the legal power to act if there are cases of child abuse. The NSPCC work together with other agencies that work with children, they also offer a helpline to support families and children. Health visitors carry out assessments on children’s development and offer
