What Is The Progressive Movement
The progressive era or movement is most famous for political reforms as proposed by Theodore Roosevelt and democrat Woodrow Wilson.During the early 1900's the term progressivism was used to describe a very wide range of economic, social, political and moral reforms. Also including the efforts to control the sale of alcohol; adjust child labor laws and sweatshops and bust and regulate trust. The progressives believed that progress, individuality and change are important to one's education. Majority of the progressives centered their curriculum on the interests, experiences and abilities of their students because they thought individuals learn best for what they consider relevant.
