What Is The Legend Of Black Dragons
My name is Ravyn, and I am the black dragon. That may not mean anything significant now, but by the end of this tale you will realize that those words hold power, and meaning. I might just become a legend in your eyes. Allow me to elaborate on exactly what a black dragon is. There can only be one black dragon at a time. After the existing black dragon dies, then an egg appears in the shadowy Black Castle of Mirian, where the single, lonely egg lays in a huge nest in the throne room, where the future dragon may rule. It can take anywhere from 5 to 1,000 years to hatch. Black dragons cannot produce or breed to make more black dragons. She only reinforces everyone’s belief of the deadly black dragon being savage and heartless.
Nearly all of them were, so I cannot blame them. The people of almost all worlds have been terrorized by at least one of the black dragons. Many black dragons were lazy, they just stayed in Mirian and destroyed the world there, then rebuilt it. Many people speak or write of the black dragon, but those legends are burned in its fire. A black dragon’s shadow upon the ground spells death and heralds doom. Some cults even adopt the symbol of the black dragon. Most of those cults don’t exist anymore. They were weak, not representing the black dragon well, not enough power to behold the great symbol of the dark dragon.
Us black dragons, we are gifted. Any other dragon, be it Chinese dragon, fire dragon, electric dragon, ice dragon, or any others, can only control or master one element, which is their own. Black dragons can control and master all of them. They also have a kind of ultimate power. This ultimate power has only been used by black dragons twice before, as the dragon has to be experienced and “Legendary”.
The power also kills the dragon. To use it is to sacrifice itself to destroy all of its enemies in a blaze …show more content…
The fear was merely set aside as rumors of Cinder’s death spread. Of course they knew one would be born again, but for now they could rest easy.
On to my point. I am special because I have the capacity to feel emotion. You might think that the other black dragons, like Brynhildr, and Cinder act out of hatred of the human race, of all other things living. Or maybe out of jealousy. But that is not the case. Some of them acted out of boredom because they have nothing good to do. Others killed because that is what they were born to do. I killed because if I didn’t, they would send their knights to hunt me down and try to kill me. Of course, they can’t, but having some brave man swiping at you with a sword when you’re trying to sleep is not exactly pleasant. If they don’t leave me alone, they die. I don’t do that anymore. Anyway, I said I have the capacity to feel emotion. I was only born able to feel fear. All of the other emotions develop when I am around other things that feel emotion. Humans, for example. I’ll get to that later. Spending a lot of time with humans, just around them, talking to them, I slowly feel more emotions. At one point in this story, I will get to
