Due to its highly strategic position in the Caribbean, Cuba has inevitably produced an unusually intimate connection with the United States. It is the nature of this connection, subsequently confirmed by formal arrangements and strengthened by economic penetration from the north, which the Cubans now find irksome and which they would alter so as to obtain greater freedom of movement. This paper will highlight the relationship between Cuba, the Cuban President, Fidel Castro, and the United States. Furthermore it will discuss the unsuccessful invasion of Cuba by the United States government which led to an embargo being placed on Cuba. It will then try to answer the following questions:…
This is a more diplomatic style of teaching where both the teacher and the learners have a say e.g. the choice of language in which student would like to learn, English, Spanish or Urdu, depends on students.…

Miami has very long and unique history making itself different from other cities. What makes Miami different from other cities is the profound affect the Cuban and Haitians immigrants had in that current time and forward. How major events like the Cold War (1947-1991) which was over the struggle of capitalism vs. communism affected the growth of Cubans and held back the Haitians in Miami. Events like these cause the Cuban people to advance while on contrast barely help the Haitians. Cubans have advance more politically than Haitians because of the “Golden Exiles” arrival, government funding, and dominating the republic party.…
Although Ecuador and the United States are part of the American Continent they have many differences. Ecuador and the United States have some very significant cultural differences. One important difference is the people. Ecuador is a homogeneous society of one culture and a few minorities. As a result, all areas of government and society are controlled by the Ecuadorian majority. In contrast, although the United States is a country with European roots originally, its liberal immigration policy has resulted in its becoming a heterogeneous society of many cultures, such as Europeans, Africans, Asians, and Hispanics. They are represented in all facets of American society, including business, education, and politics.…
Living in a country that are not allowed to do a lot of things and people are not safe. People are forced to eat what the government provides to the citizens of Cuba. Unlike the U.S where people can eat whatever they like. People can starve, because the government gives everyone a certain time to eat and then they do not have food again until the next day. Living in a country like this would be difficult.…

Since 1962 the United States has implemented an embargo on Cuba, justifying it in the context of protecting the United States from the dangers of communism. This 50 year embargo has several original goals. The United States wanted Cuba to open up its economy and establish a democracy; weaken Cuba’s communist government; and force Fidel Castro out of power (Scott). These original goals were employed to essentially help Cuba from itself and to make a stance against communism by the United States. Though a stance has been made Castro resigned, his closest supporters are still in power, living up to his original views and goals. The said embargo only hurts the normal man of Cuba as well as American businesses who could be selling and trading with Cuba. The more free exchange of people, customs, and ideas, the more the Cuban people will learn about freedom and democracy, thus having an embargo such as the one the United States has on them only hinders the progression towards democracy.…

I will briefly explain the systems of both countries, explore the similarities and differences between both, and finally give the lessons that I believe we can learn from both systems. Problems in healthcare delivery exist everywhere, but if Americans can incorporate ideas from other nations to better our own system, we may be able to build ourselves a more effective, efficient model to administer care. Cuban healthcare has traditionally been a taboo subject in the United States (as has Cuban anything). The Cuban healthcare system is similar to those of many social democracies (such as the UK and Canada), in that it is what is known as a single-payer system. In such a system, the government is the sole administrator of all healthcare services.…
North Korea and Cuba are two of the five current communist ruling states, also known as the Ruling parties of Socialist states. North Korea is under the rule of Kim Jung Il, a strong communist leader since 1994. He succeeded his father, Kim Il- Sung, when he died in 1994 after his rule for 50 years of communism. Cuba is ruled by Fidel Castro, who overthrew Fulgencio Batista in 1959 during the Cuban revolution. Castro has been president since 1976 and still hold strong to his communistic ways. Both countries have held a communist party in control for more than 50 years, Cuba starting in the Early 1920's and North Korea in the late 1940's. Therefore they have entire generations of families that have lived in a socialistic/communist way of governing. Consequently, many similarities and differences exsist within the goverenment, its people, the culture, economics, and foreign relations.( Malici)…
Are there differences between living in Puerto Rico and living in the United States? I believe that there are big differences. I came to the United States when I was five years old. I then moved to Philadelphia for one year, lived in Georgia for six years, and now I am currently living in Maryland. I always go back to Puerto Rico to visit my family. I love it there. I like living in the United States but there are many things that differ such as the location itself, people and the schools.…
