History William Sanford Nye, more commonly known as a TV show host on American Broadcasting Company’s (Abc) Bill Nye: The Science Guy. Most people who grew up in the ninety’s think of him as a movie star, which is unarguably true, however nobody really thinks of how he ended up hosting one of the most famous TV shows and where and what he is doing today. William Nye was born in Washington, D.C. on November 27, 1955 to Jacqueline and Edwin Darby Nye. His father worked in advertising; his mother is a homemaker who earned a doctorate in education. This parent combination was probably what led Nye to choose his career field. Nye attended the Sidwell

His passion and word choices were on par with a fourth grade level making his show so appealing. Along with a child-friendly atmosphere, Nye conducted one or two “do-it-at-home” experiments each episode, making learning much more interactive. Nye shows that it doesn’t matter how educated or published you are in your field, if you're a good communicator and you portray science accurately, you should be a successful media scientist. As much support and scientific evidence possesses, Nye says his TV program can only help “up to a point, and of course everyone disagrees on the point.” What he is saying is that as much as his show has to offer, it doesn’t show children the determination and education needed to have a career in

In “Put a little science in your life”, Brian Greene explains how important learning science was in school. However, being important took a backseat to a student actually applying science in their lives. In the beginning of the essay, Greene writes about how he was contacted by a soldier overseas who had read a book that Greene had written about science. Instead of telling the author about how war life was, the soldier instead felt that Greene should know how his book had changed his perspective in life. Green says that, “the soldier’s letter emphasized something that I’ve increasingly come to believe: our educational system fails to teach science in a way that allows students to integrate it into their lives.”…

Nevertheless, Baldwin 's attributes as a writer are undeniable. Even the confused of souls serve the purpose of design; spiritually speaking. Oddly enough Jimmy was the epitome, or at least a constant advocate, of universal love and brotherhood. Baldwin, in his lifetime, was able to effect a large population through his works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and plays. The eyes of not only Blacks but also Whites where wide open to the issues of the times thorough this man 's creative articulation and imagination, bring his life to the world. James Baldwin 's personal life, in some ways, are revealed in writings throw the promise of a transparent sexual utopia grounded in a healing unveiling of a serenely accepted identity. Whether in terms homophobic or racist, or anti-homophobic or anti-racist (rarely, though more often with the former than with the latter, do the poles of either of these oppositions come together), critics have dwelt on a transcendence defined as a coming to terms with one 's identity. Such a reading allows "race" and sexuality to disappear from critical view; more precisely, it allows critics to cast them as mere obstructions littering the path of a surpassing transcendence, usually cast in terms of art.…
