What Do You Want To Be Remembered For
What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered as the guy who was always there for someone. I want people to remember me and think about how I was always there for them no matter what. I also want to be remembered as the person who will tell people the honest truth, no matter how hard it may be. I want people to remember this because I think that is the type of person I am and who I want to always be. If people will remember me as this then I will have lived a successful life. Being there for someone is what I want others to remember me by.

When I first joined the Army, my intent was never to stay in, as long as I have, let alone contemplate staying in until I retire. If my name is never remembered but my actions are inherited by future leaders, I would feel as though that my legacy has been left in history. To be able to emulate what CSM Bailey has taught me and continues to teach me as I move up in the ranks. To hopefully one day, I can do the same to junior Soldiers having the impact that years down the road they could look back to and know what to do. To be that coach and mentor that those under my command deserve to…

Now after hearing about all these things surely you do remember that one special person that was in your life for either a short or maybe even a vast amount of time. You’ll always remember how they felt or even how they smelled and especially their appearance and personality. That person will forever be marked on you. Mine just so happened to be my mother. She will always be the person I never forget and will always be here in my heart whether I barely knew her. Susan Elizabeth Silva is my…

If I were to choose a story to help explain the idea of being good to your future self, I would use my story, why I wish I would have been good to my future self at an earlier stage in my life. These past experiences and accomplishments stuck with me and they remind me of the type of person I am. I learned from them because that’s what I want to pursue in my everyday life. Along the way, the areas that I need to grow in have come up through the years and they also show the person I am today. When I put someone before me, it makes me feel proud when someone can count on…

With the characteristics that I gained from the role models earlier in my life, I aspire to be a hard worker, a good dad, and a man of integrity. By being these things, I will be a role model to my children when they grow old enough, my coworkers at my workplace, and my friends, even the friends that I have today, thereby creating a next generation of hard workers, good fathers, and men of integrity. I look forward to following in the footsteps of my mentors and leading future generations in the right direction. Leading by example has always been and will always be a vital part of our society, our culture, and way of…

The Greats of this time have always been that: great. To be remembered, you have to do something. The world simply works that way. I came here to tell a story, and I now realize that they have already been told. See, to be able to tell a story, there must first be a story worth telling. For most people, such a story could not possibly hope to exist. We live, we die, we move on to Heaven beyond this life. There is no place for mediocrity in this world of wolverines and vipers. When you live to be remembered, you must die for that memory to live on. No story begins before death, and most stories do not last past death. Think back to a time you heard the name Captain Jason Duncan. He was a captain of the militia in Vermont during the American…

My most meaningful accomplishment has been in the recent year. Winning the election for Florida A&M Universities Student Government Association Vice President, for it to be stripped away from us from out past University President. My accomplishment was of course acquiring our position after a 6-month period, but the greatest accomplishment I’ve witnessed was resilience within myself. Through this imperial experience, I’ve realized the importance of fighting for whats right. For this reason, I’ve realized that it’s necessary to do whats morally correct -- this was how I measured my success. Not by the position, but how I went about handling the turmoil of not getting everything you want when you want it. This situation served as an example,…

When I leave middle school, I want to be remembered as clever. Clever means to be quick to understand and to be intelligent. I am a very creative and very smart. I feel that I haven’t really had a chance to show my fellow classmates how clever and creative I can be. If I had to describe myself in two main categories, I would chose athletics and smarts. I think that I can get farther with my smarts than with my athletics. My whole family has been a very smart family. My mom and dad were both in honors classes and got straight A’s, and me and my brother have gotten straight A’s almost every year.…

“How will I be remembered?”. A question many people ask themselves, though for some there is no how. In A Mercy, through the mouth of Jacob Vaark, Toni Morrison gives us an interesting answer to this question. Actually, it is more of a statement, than an answer. Nonetheless, I feel it deserves attention, and, in a way, guides me to a subject I did not expect, identity. A subject which I shall be discussing below, but before I digress too far, here is Jacob’s statement.…

    3. There are many things I would want to say about myself and my accomplishments on the day I graduate high school. A few are what, hopefully will take place in my high school years. I would like to be able to say that I have grown throughout these four years of high school, in more ways than one. I have grown in academics, but also as a person. Standing there, on the day of graduation, I would want to say that I look toward the future of my life, to college, to my life after this moment. I would like to look back to the past and see how far I’ve come, all that I have accomplished since then. The fact that I have succeeded in graduating high school, should be an accomplishment to note upon. I have completed the basics of my education, and…

On the one hand, being able to advance in my life is the most important thing to me. I am still fairly young and have not been able to do many things. I literally have almost my whole life ahead of me. Choosing to lose all my old memories to advance in life would mean that I still have a shot at fulfilling my dreams. Even though I wouldn’t remember what my old dreams were, I can create new ones and still live the happy life I always wanted for myself. Also, starting off with a clean slate can also be a really great thing. I could be anything I wanted a fighter, a lover, or maybe even a better friend. The bad memories that I have had would no longer be there to hurt and haunt me. Losing my old memories would be like the gateway to forgiveness in finding forgiveness in myself, and those around me.…
