What Do You Think About America
What do you think about when someone says the word America? Do you think about freedom, religion, military, or its free education? The America I believe in has strong people, a strong military, and strong technology.

Imagine waking up in a dark plaster house with no windows, no heating, and no bed or sheets. In America most of us don’t live in those conditions. We have beds, large brick or wood houses, heating, electricity, and windows. We have the freedom to choose who we want to be with, and the freedom to choose what we want to do for a job. America is a great place compared to the other places like Iraq, Africa, and some places in Korea that have strict laws and rules that people have to follow.

The United States of America is a country founded on Judeo-Christian morals and ethics and is comprised of unique individuals who have led the world in innovation and ingenuity. The liberties and freedoms that America is founded on have enabled people to develop some of the world’s most technological advances. The capitalistic system has created the opportunity for great personal wealth, and has given millions of people opportunities that otherwise would not have been afforded to them without living in this country. As a civilized society based on the foundation of those morals and ethics, it is also a country founded on laws that ensure protection and civil order. The United States of America is a…

Well, it’s a place where all of your fantasies can come true. You can come to this country with just the clothes on your back and hope in your heart. Then after settling here you will have a closet full of clothes, a big house to live in, and a bountiful supply of money. You’ll be living the American Dream. You can be and say whatever you want in America. That’s why it’s called ‘’the land of the free, and the home of the brave’’ right? Wrong. If you come to America with just the clothes on your back, we will accuse and prosecute you for being an ‘’illegal alien’’, arrest you, take the only items item you have to your name (your clothing), redress you in a prison uniform, destroying any bit of hope you had in the process. Folks come to America with the idea of a better opportunity in life, but in reality, you’re worse off living here.…

Americans believe they live in a beautiful country. There are many advantages to living in America, such as having a secure government, a controlled military, a judicial system that works, breathtaking landscapes, cleanliness, and the many freedoms that are granted to citizens in the U.S. Constitution. America became a rising power early in its life, allowing for these benefits. Although the United States of America is one of the great world powers, and perhaps the most supreme, its economic practices are driven toward the idea of spending and consumerism and the population’s values have become entirely reconstituted since its founding.…

The phrase “America, home of the free” is baffling. This statement is not only inaccurate, but a blatant lie on so many levels because it is not only a form of propaganda, but an unfair bait to foreigners. It not only makes America seem better than it really is, but it also makes other great nations seem worse. Another way that it is used as propaganda pertains to how it has been used during the War on Terror to arouse a sense of patriotism throughout the nation. "America is the greatest nation in the world" seems to cause most Americans to ignore major facts, such as the fact that America currently boasts the highest unemployment rate it has had in nine years.…

In my opinion America is the greatest country on earth. One of the best things about America is our freedom. Our freedom is something to truly be proud of! In many other countries you have to filter what you say, but not in great ole America you are legally able to say whatever you want. In some Asian countries young children and lower class adults have to work in factories for very low pay, just because there is no other options. In America this is not the case, here we could work where ever we desire, with the right education of course. Religion, religion is a big one. In many counties what, or whom you worship is controlled by the government.…

In general, almost all citizens are bound with rights and freedoms that allow them to have privileges many struggle and debate for in other countries. This, in turn, leaves more opportunity for the success of individuals and their hopes. Citizens are granted with unalienable rights that allow them to accomplish their goals, even through terrible economic turmoil, such as the Great Depression (Source A). In the end, this is what ultimately attracts the younger generation and anticipant immigrants to America (Source C). America is the beam of light that gives so many the motivation to…
