We need truth in order to live. Although sufficiently available to us, truth has become elusive for many people. So how is it that we need truth but not seem to find it? The answer lies in our rejection of the underlying order of the universe, which we speak of as law. For us to recognize law is to recognize truth. It is law that causes the earth to revolve around the sun and men to bleed when cut. It is also law that speaks from our inmost depths, commanding the love of God and neighbor, the honor of parents and the protection of our children from harm, to the cost of our lives.

The articles on this page touch on various topics. In one way or another, however, they all deal with the moral law, particularly with regard to the protection of innocent human life. It is our hope that these writings will assist those in the trenches who are fighting the "good fight," as well the many who are confused about truth and law and have lost their way.     The issue of abortion is by far, one of the most controversial topics in American History and everyone seems to have an opinion on the topic. Although there are many sides to the topic, the issue has divided the majority of people to the two extreme views of the topic --Pro-choice Vs. Pro-life. We can see the main arguments of each side just by analyzing the titles given to the two sides. Those who are pro-life believe that they are in fact Pro-Life and that abortion is murder. Those who are pro-choice believe that they are Pro-choice and that outlawing abortion would take the women's freedom to make a choice about her own body. Feelings and emotions about such an issue are very powerful and it has been the case that both sides will go to extremes to defend what they believe in. Abortion has fostered one of the most controversial, contentious and ethical debates in the United States. People divide themselves into two groups: pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life argues that abortion is murder, and the mother has no right to take the life of a potential child. Prochoice “ refers to the political and ethical view that a woman should have complete right over her fertility and that she should have the freedom to decide whether she wants to continue or terminate her pregnancy” (Bose). In 1973, the Supreme Court made it possible for woman to obtain a legal abortion from well-trained medical surgeons which was a giant step forward for women’s rights (Pomeroy). Undertaking an abortion is a woman’s choice and any proposal to take away this autonomy not only violates a woman’s civil rights but would also cause many more problems in regards to a woman’s health. A woman’s autonomy is the one thing no one should be able to take away from her. Abortion is an extremely private matter that the government has no right to interfere in. If the civil rights of a person entitles him or her to not have unwanted infringements by the government and the government tells a woman that she cannot have an abortion, then is this not a violation of civil rights? Without abortion, woman would be condemned into pregnancy which “forces them into submissive roles in society” (Pomeroy).     As citizens of the United States, we all posses the right to choose as a central liberty, unless it is the right to cease a pregnancy. In the last few decades, abortion has become a much-discussed subject. It has been a central point in many political affairs, such as selecting justices for the Supreme Court, and a frequently debated issue for candidates for state and local offices, as well as for the U.S. Presidency. As early as 1923, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution protects personal decisions regarding marriage and the family from governmental intrusion. In 1965, the Court ruled that the state couldn’t prohibit a married couple from practicing contraception. In 1972, it extended the right to use birth control to all people, married or single. And in its 1973 ruling, Roe v. Wade, the Court held that the Constitution’s protections of privacy as a fundamental right encompass a woman’s decision to have an abortion. On the 36th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision, President Barack Obama said that it “stands for a broader principle that government should not intrude on our most private family matters,” but he also went on to say, “no matter what our views, we are united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, reduce the need for abortion, and support women and families in the choices they make” (Falcone).…
