Web Design vs Graphic Design
““Web Design vs. Graphic Design” Web Design (Web) and Graphic Design (print) are two designing professions that are used to create designs, graphics, logos and advertisements for businesses. There are many similarities and differences between Web Design and Graphic Design. From the research that has been done on this subject Web Design is designing for the Internet and Graphic Design is designing for print. Both of these design professions require creativity in designing. This essay will present some of the main differences and similarities of these two Design Professions.

First, the similarities between Web Design and Graphic are: one of the similarities is that both of them obviously, deal with design. A second similarity is the Structure for both Web Design and Graphic Design is typically the same “they both use headers (where the main headline and the most important information is, they both use a body (where the main information is placed, and they both use footers” (solidstrategygroup.com pg. 1) (where added elements are placed). A third similarity is these are some of the jobs categories that both Web Designers and Graphic Designers are qualified to do, Banner Advertising, Logo’s design, Business Cards, Product design and packaging and Magazine Advertisements. A fourth similarity in Web Design and Graphic Design is Layout both require clear and effective Layout. In both the overall goal is the same, to use elements of design (shapes, lines, colors, type, etc.) to present content to your audience. There are far fewer similarities than there are differences between Web Design and Graphic Design. Second, there are many differences between Web Design and Graphic Design: A first difference between Web Design and Graphic Design is that Web Design is used on the Web and Graphic Design is used in print.
