Water and Shoe Polish Mixture
Tittle: Musa paradisiaca (banana) shoe polish with Tabebuia avellanedae (taheebo) mosquito repellant
Ingredients:
For shoe pollish For insect repellant
* banana peel * taheebo * Aloe vera * olive oil * lemon * Garlic * baby oil *essential oil
Procedure #1: (for shoe polish)
1. Peel the banana and keep it's outer covering.
2. Using mortal and pestle, crush aloe vera and get it's extract.
3. Pour the aloe vera extract, lemon juice and baby oil in pot and simmer using lower heat temperature until it boil.
4. After you simmer/boil the mixture, add the banana peel and continue to boil it.
5. Finally, if the solution became viscous, set it aside and make the insect repellant.
Procedure #2: (for mosquito repellant)
1. First, clean the taheebo leaves and put under the sun to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
2. After the leaves become slightly dry, put it on a pot with water and boil it for 45 minutes.
3. Then, using a strainer,separate the leaves to the water.
4. Again, using mortar and pestle, grid the garlic until it became dull.
5. In a bowl, mix the taheebo extract, chopped garlic, cooking oil and essential oil.
6. After a several hours, separate the extract using strainer and transfer it in a bottle.
Procedure #3: (combining the two mixture)
1. Transfer the shoe polish mixture in a cup using a funnel.
2. Next, using a dropper, pour the mosquito repellant mixture in a cup with shoe polish mixture and stir it slowly and gently.
Note:
You can use the left insect repellant in place were mosquitoes usually see like in plants or in dark
