Walk Two Moons Analysis
In the novel Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech Sal’s father accuses Sal of “trying to catch fish in the air” (pg. 75) because she was trying to get her father to stop seeing Mrs. Cadaver to get her mother to come back. The author uses this idiom to show that Sal is doing something that is a waste of time because it is impossible to catch fish from the air and it is impossible for Sal’s mother to come back. There have been times in my life when I have tried to do something that turned out to be impossible. For example, yesterday I went to the Oktoberfest in Yorba Linda and there was a silent auction.
