SIS, al-qaeda, Taliban. No doubt you’ve seen these names in the media for all the wrong reasons and every year thousands of innocent people lose their lives to the hands of these terrorist organisations. Terrorism is a growing concern to all corners of the world and is continuously threatening many religious, racial and political ways of life. A dramatic increase of the occurrence and severity of terrorism attacks is leaving effects on the world community as well as our Australian country, but terrorism is something we as country should not live in fear from.

William Beeman, chairman of the anthropology department at the University of Minnesota describes the motives of terrorist groups, ISIS in particular as the desire for a one race world. “They would like the entire world to be Muslim, but they want the world to be Muslim in a very, very narrowly defined manner." Members of South Australia's Muslim community are being attacked through online media and verbal abuse in response to the recent world terror attacks. The constant attacking is feeding directly into what terrorism organisations want, a strong divide between Muslim and non-Muslim communities. Mount Gambier's Iraqi-born Gala Mustafa describes her fear of being targeted because of their culture "We watch the news and look at each other and say 'what will happen tomorrow?'
