“Brah! I don't no whea 2 start’um”. Hawaii has a reputation of talking “Pigeon”. Pigeon is an english word with a slang or short abbreviation of an english sentence or word. Reputation is a huge thing in our world. For example, every states has its own reputation such as Hawaii speaking their own language “Pigeon”. So what is reputation in high schools in Hawaii. Every School is unique. High Schools in Hawaii have a “reputation” which stands out for their school for example, Kahuku high school has a reputation known to have a lot of Polynesian which attend the school. Many private schools are in town or in a place where its friendly neighborhood. Unlike for Damien, its a private school in the middle of Kalihi. Kalihi is known for gangs and a very scary place if your not familiar to the e area. Damien has about 300-500 student which attend. Smaller school means that the closer all the students will get. Unlike Kamehameha who has over 5000 student, it is harder for student to get to know people but Damien students know everybody when they pass in the hallway. Damien dress code is shirt and tie with long plant slacks. We are the first ever in Hawaii to have a high school that wear shirt and tie has their primary dress code in a school. Unlike Saint Louis high school, they wear shirt and tie only for church or assemblies. Damien as an all boy school late change Co-Ed in 2012 meaning we experience whats in like to be an all boy school and Co-Ed. Damien academic is very high. Damien is second or third place in Hawaii for academics. Unlike other schools, they don't take academics seriously. Damien color is mauve and gold. We are probably the only school that his unique colors and no other school has mauve and gold like Damien high
