Vegetarianism In recent discussion of vegetarianism a controversial issue has been whether or not people should live the vegetarian lifestyle. In my opinion, I think everyone should eat both meat AND vegetables. That’s the reason that humans are called OMNIVORES. Like vegetarians, I agree that eating vegetables and fruits is healthy but I also think that adding meat to your diet is the way to go. I highly disagree with any form of vegetarianism because the risks outweigh the benefits which mean that there is a bigger chance of you becoming ill. Vegetarianism isn’t a good choice because it is not fit for everyone. In Source B, Rhys Southan shows that he agrees with this claim by stating “…allergies to multiple vegan staples like soy, gluten, and nuts can make [veganism] an immediate no-go.” People with these allergies ALREADY can’t eat much food anyway. So what would be the point of restricting yourself from more food? That’s just making it harder for you to live. With these allergies, it’s practically IMPOSSIBLE for you to live without eating meat because plants are filled with soy, gluten, etc. It would be much easier for the people with thee allergies to just eat at least SOME meat. And it tastes great anyways, so WHY NOT? In Source E, Nina Plank also shows that she agrees that vegetarianism isn’t for everyone by stating “It is quite possible to thrive on a diet including high-quality dairy and eggs – many populations do - but a diet of plants alone is only fit for herbivores.” Instead of her just coming out and saying “Vegetarianism is wrong! Do it MY way!” She gives a reason why it is wrong and she also gives an alternate choice which is eating dairy and eggs. I think that this is a REALLY good alternative for vegetarianism. It would give them the vitamins that they need but they still wouldn’t have to eat meat.     I’m against vegetarianism, but I don’t like the fact that harming animals has to come along with me eating meat. Torment is bad whether it’s human or animal. Most humans have the ability to live a very healthy life without even being a carnivore. Now, here are a few reasons people become vegetarians: health issues, religion, and their dislike animal slaughter. Most vegetarians probably feel that you eat meat, than you might as well have killed the animal yourself. As humans we have to eat to stay alive, and I strongly believe people have the choice to eat whatever they want to. In addition; vegetarians choose not eat meat because of what they believe in their entitled to their own opinion as well. However, most vegetarians feel like animals and humans aren’t really different and were both living things, and we feel pain one way or another. On the other hand; it’s abnormal that a human would eat another human to cause them pain so why do we eat animals. Also, I feel that we have two different types of animals you have wild and domestic animals. First, you have your domestic animals such as, dogs, cats, birds, and so forth it’s highly impossible you would find someone eating one of those animals. Secondly, you have wild animals that go around killing each other to survive, and some that would kill a human you crossed its path. Ethical vegetarians believe that an animal’s killing a human an can only be justified in extreme circumstances and that consuming a living creature for its taste, convenience, or nutritional value is not good cause.     First of all, vegetarian diet is not a better choice than meat-based diet because it can be bad for your health. I tried one time to go for a vegetarian diet for a week and I realized so many things happen to my health. I immediately notice that I feel so much weaker and lazier when I stop eating meat. It is understandable because those feelings are a signs of your body not having enough nutrients that you used to have. There are some of the nutrients that are simply not adequately represented in a vegetarian diet such as proteins and vitamin B12. You will be able to find proteins in vegetables, milk or eggs but it will not be enough. Although it is possible to not eating meat but sill have protein, the protein in vegetables and meat doesn’t have the same amino acid structure. In order to get maximum benefit of amino acids, we need to have it in the way that is close to the construction for muscle and other tissue.
