It gives us great pleasure in rolling out the 4th edition of Vantage Point, the college magazine of Vanguard Business
School. The previous months have seen a lot of activities. Starting from the intra collegiate cultural fest ‘Vihaan’, the management fest ‘Vyuha’ and numerous other memorable events have kept us on our toes. Guest speakers on campus gave us a glimpse of what we can expect in the future. Club events and a myriad of other workshops that were hosted by the student community saw a lot of enthusiastic participation. The year ended on an emotional note with us having to bid goodbye to our beloved seniors. The convocation was followed by a farewell party that the junior batch hosted for the seniors. Here, the perspiration of the editorial crew supported by the entire batch has finally shown insignia and we have tried to relive all the excitement of the days

Attending the Pride friday at IUPUC before the beginning of school has been one of the most helpful events. By going to this I met some friends and learned more about the school itself. Although I have made the choice not to stay at IUPUC all four years of my college career, being here my first semester has started me off great. During this event they spoke of how we start and end our four years in the same way. I am just glad I have been able to enjoy my first semester by making some new friends, learning new strategies to working and figuring my life out.…

This summer will fly by and before we know it, our 2013-2014 school year will knock on the door and expect us to be prepared. In order to not be caught off guard, we should be ready for what the new year will hold out to us. An idea for next school year could be that we make the meetings more entertaining. Incoming freshmen will be curious as to what Key Club really is, and are more likely to join if they’re having fun while volunteering. Also, more social events should be planned such as a sport tournament or maybe even a night out playing laser-tag or meeting at a bowling alley.…

The time came for all the graduates to line up and start heading on stage to begin the ceremony. The walk to the podium seemed to take forever, as if we were waiting in line at Cedar Point. I just wanted to get my college degree, and get the day over with, but we had to wait for the band to start playing as well as the Valedictorians and Salutatorians to begin. I was excited and scared at the same time because I knew that once I walked across that stage everything would be different. The sound of the cheering, the stately music, the solemn atmosphere, and the joy of the students all play a part in creating this spectacle.…

Looking out into the crowd, I saw my family’s proud smiling faces and tears running down their cheeks. This was the moment I never thought would come in the past 4 years. As the announcer said my name, I walked up and accepted my diploma. I wanted to scream I was so excited. Instead I just gave a big smile and thanked everyone for their love and support, giving credit to those who had helped me along my journey to graduation. This was by far the most meaningful moment so far in my life because of all of the struggles I have endured and the journey I had taken to achieve my success. I will never forget that moment and my personal quest to graduate high school. And now I have started a new chapter in my life, College.…

The five Saturdays were not all easy paves and smooth ways for group Honest. The whole field immersion was not effortless, at all; there were problems and some circumstances that the team had encountered during the times of engaging in the community. There was the problem of shortage of budget which was probably prime concern of the team since without enough funds the project would not be done in order to meet the needs of the community.…
