Value Of Life By Matthew Hutson: Article Analysis
Value of Life All lives are equal. All humans have the same value. A person’s value should not be determined by age, health, and wealth.
First of all, age should not determine who should live or who shall die. A younger person may be able to do more, but he/she has a lot more to learn and will have a lot of mess ups. An older person will have more knowledge. In the article, “Calculating the Value of a Human Life” by Matthew Hutson, it says,“...whose murder would be more wrong-that of an infant, or that of an elderly person.” Most people would say that of an infant, but they are both wrong so why would it matter which one got killed. The family of the one who died would be upset

If you were on a boat and you had to take one person with you who would you take? The rich person might be saved because they have money. The poor guy would be at a disadvantage because he has nothing to give you if you save him. If the poor guy had to pay for a surgery and he could not pay for it right then and there, but the rich guy could the rich guy would get the surgery before the poor guy. In the article “What is The Value Of A Human Life?” By: Kenneth Feinberg is say “The law required that I give more money to the stockbroker, the bond trader and the banker than to the waiter, the policeman, the fireman and the soldier at the Pentagon.” The law wanted the people who made a lot of money to get a higher compensation then the policeman and firefighters who rush in there to saves the life of other people. This is wrong because the policemen and firemen put there self in danger when they go on a call, they did not have to be a firemen or police officer. The people who was the stockbroker did not put there self in danger so the firemen and policemen should get paid more than the other people that did nothing but
