Vacation at the Beach Vs. the Mountains People are always looking forward to their vacation period. There are many options where to go. According to a study by some explorers, most common places people choose for taking a vacation are the beach and the mountain. Both places offer a variety of fun activities. The beach offers activities that the mountain cannot offer and vice versa. The three aspects are climate, types of activities and locations of beaches and mountains. Undoubtedly, mountains are recognized because of its cold climate. It is always important in order to enjoy vacations. If a person dislikes cold weather, he or she might have a hard time in the mountains. The cold climate in the mountains is the first barrier to enjoying them. As I said before, many people do not enjoy cold temperatures. The climate and the temperature of these zones are what determine the types of activities they offer. In contrast, the beach is recognized because of its warm climate. It is one of the most important features that the beach has. However, snow boarding, mountain climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing are some of the activities people can enjoy when going to the mountains. As before mentioned, the climate in the Intermountain Region varies with elevation and location, in some parts it is cold and wet or dry and hot in winters. Going southward winters are lacking in precipitation and are dry and short. North, precipitation is also scarce but the climate is more moderate with dry, hot summers and moist winters. Also in the north, because the summers are shorter the growing season is shorter as well, which does not help the agriculture industry. As you go farther down the eastern slopes of the mountains, air retains moisture and warms up. The Intermountain…

The first few steps after the boardwalk may feel rather rocky due to scattered sediments and tiny pebbles sticking on to the soles of your feet, but by halfway to the ocean, it starts getting smooth and cooler with every step you take. If laying around and catching some ray is not your type of fun, there are beach volleyball courts set up, kites to be flown here and safe swimming with lifeguards on the look out. Gazing at the sandy shore, you can see the roaring waves rushing in, toppling forts and castles made out of silken sands that shimmers under the blazing sun like tiny luminous stars in the night sky. Take advantage of this peaceful, quiet moment by standing on the shoreline and wait for the rolling ocean water slide by the ankles of your leg. As the waves try to pull back in, you will feel a sinking sensation on the heels of your foot due to the pressure of your weight and the surrounding sand. Lastly, there is an area for youths with a big, plastic palm tree set up in the middle and tiny sprinklers around it, spraying cold, chilling drops that can be felt even to the people strolling on the boardwalk. The beach is always crowded with families and couples to enjoy on their days off and especially on Friday nights, gorgeous firework shoot off can be seen starting at 9:30p.m. (Only during the summer…

Depending on one’s geographic location and personal economic status, vacations are often regarded as the expected result of hard work or productivity. They typically act as a temporary pause on the stressors or difficult components of life and allow time for either relaxation or adventure. Despite this commonly held understanding, not all countries maintain such a positive opinion. Rather than a blissful escape from monotony, they instead view vacations as nothing more than a pitiful waste of time, energy, and critical resources.…

. To classify the tourists that consider Virginia Beach a vacation destination, the marketers divided the prospects into four main groups based on their familial status and interests. These groups are singles without children, families, sports enthusiasts, and mature customers. Another way to segment vacationers is by lifestyle or income level. Vacationers could be separated into groups of people who are vacationing on a budget and those who would like a luxury vacation. To target people who are spending their money carefully, Virginia Beach could advertise the free attractions they offer such as outdoor activities and the beach. They could also highlight cheaper hotels, restaurants, and attractions that offer deals. For luxury vacationers Virginia Beach could showcase the finer parts of their area and activities that people can indulge in, such as spas, dinner cruises, and high-end shopping.…
