Review the Continuing Academic Success assignment requirements from Week 5.
Conduct research in the University Library to find at least three sources that are relevant for your Week 5 essay.
Complete the following table for each source you have chosen. Include the original passage when you provide the summary, paraphrase, and quote.

Source 1

Title of the article
Critical thinking
Why did you choose this article?
I was reading about critical thinking and found some good information about evaluating sources and question to ask. I like the way the author phrased the information.
Is the article credible? How?
I think that the information is credible. The information within this reading seems to go hand in hand with what I have learned and read in the class. I also found it through the University of Phoenix Library
Is the author biased? How do you know?
I dont find the author to be biased. He actually writes about how to look for biased information within the reading. I think that he gives his thoughts and opinions on critical thinking in a logical way that makes sense and goes hand in hand with what I have read in the course material
Is the article relevant? How?
Its very relevant. So much that I was reading about critical thinking and found information on evaluating sources which was going to be another thing I was looking for information on for this paper.
Find a passage you might use and summarize it.

At that point asking where their source got their information is a good way of finding out if a source is relivant.
Find a passage you might use and paraphrase it.
A good way to evaluate a source is to look at where the source is coming from and who the audience is. Looking at things like, Is the information political? Then

The power of sources in Brandon Jorritsma’s writing makes it more persuasive and does not rely mainly on personal opinion. Such as, “… they felt anxiety if they forgot to take their phone out of the house with them (Jarvenpaa 12). Even when the phone was not anywhere near them, they couldn’t escape its demands on their attention”. This proves Brandon Jorritsma developed strong and persuasive perspectives with the acknowledgment of sources. As for the writing by the unknown author, his or her input is less valued due to the missing identification of a source. To sum up, source material adds evidence and support to writing.…

    • Is the source reliable? How do you know? This source is not reliable because it is not based on fact and only based on the author opinion but it has some reliable information in it because a clinical theory was presented and the information was based on the theory. Majority of the source information is reliable but everything based on opinion I would not recommend the use of that particular information in the source.…
