During this time Gatsby is being reunited with daisy. He is very nervous and uncertain of how this reunion will go. The day is gloomy and the weather is uncertain. The rain starts to calm down to a drizzle as the day moves on and it's not as awkward. Once Gatsby and Daisy are comfortable around each other the rain stops. “The rain was still falling, but the darkness had parted in the west, and there was a pink and golden billow of foamy clouds above the sea.”pg (94).
