Introduction:
The first edition of the report published in the year 2010 by Jakob Nielsen provides you an original research on the first edition of iPad apps that has been published soon after the first tablet device is launched. The second edition of the report which was established in the year 2011, gives you a follow-up research that has been conducted after an year with improved and sophisticated research for apps and websites, providing them a chance to improve themselves with the early findings. The two reports of the Nielsen contained important information for everyone who is in need of mobile Internet strategy and also for the organization of the company providing a wide domain of information regarding usability and adaptability of the iPad apps. Jakob Nielsen has published the 2nd edition of their report on the usability of iPad apps and websites recently which created quite an interest among the users. The report which contained 129 pages in total by Jakob Neilsen is based on various case studies involving the information of iPad apps illustrating the dos and don’ts in designing the apps for iPad. It also offers good insight for touch screen devices.

How People Use the iPad:
The basic use of iPad is the media consumption like social networking, reading news, checking emails, gaming, watching movies, listening to music etc. iPad unlike mobile is a shared device to be used between multiple users instead of being possessed by one in the household and therefore is more generic than personal. Therefore, the types of apps on the iPad can vary from anything to everything including the OS level either which can’t be personalized. It’s can be used at home with an ease and also on go, typically on the travelling period where people anticipate for entertainment in dull environment.
