Regulations of Baptist Hospital urgent care
Baptist hospital has many regulations in place for the patient being treated at the hospital and many documents that they make for easy access for patients. http://baptisthealth.net/en/search/pages/results.aspx?k=regulations Accreditation Requirements
A medical center is eligible for an Accreditation survey by the Urgent Care Center Accreditation program when it:
Has been providing health care services for at minimum of six months before the on-site survey (excluding organizations that are seeking Accreditation through the Early Survey Program - ESP)
Provides medical care that is under the direction or supervision of a physician who accepts responsibility for that medical practice
Is in compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Is licensed by the state in which it is located, if the state requires licensure for the medical entity.
Completes the signed Application for Accreditation in advance of the survey.
Acts in good faith in providing complete and accurate information during the Accreditation or re-Accreditation process.
Pays the appropriate fees.
Previous or existing accreditation by another accrediting agency is not required to earn Accreditation through the Urgent Care Center Accreditation program.
Type of Injuries urgent care facility’s treatments
Urgent medical conditions are ones that are not considered emergencies but still require care within 24 hours. Some examples of such conditions include this are consider non-life threating
Accidents and falls
Sprains and strains
Moderate back problems
Breathing difficulties (i.e. mild to moderate asthma)
Bleeding/cuts -- not bleeding a lot but requiring stitches
Diagnostic services, including X-rays and laboratory tests
Eye irritation and redness
Fever or flu
Vomiting, diarrhea or dehydration
Severe sore throat or cough
Minor broken bones and fractures (i.e.
