My Favorite Place
There aren’t many place you can go to find peace or find yourself at peace. It takes time to find a place that’s all you and where you feel at home. Everyone’s favorite place is different. Some like peaceful quiet places while others prefer places that have alot going on.
Either place is where we go to find our inner freedom and be our “true” self.
My favorite place is a little hidden spot in the woods by my great grandmother’s house.
I’ve run there countless times to clear my mind, make decisions, ease a broken heart, pretty much every experience life has thrown at me. My place is covered by trees and vegetation remains of a shed beside a little river(puddle now that Im older) leading from a pond further into the woods. It’s full of wildlife and I just feel at one with nature and myself when I visit. And
I’ve often visited both mentally and physically to unload my burdens. To me it the best and most comfortable place in the world.
My favorite place holds most of my old childhood and teenage trinkets. My favorite bear, the flower my very first boyfriend gave me, the rough draft of the “Dear John” letter I wrote breaking up with him, my favorite blanket and old sneakers that I out grew. I even have a buried time capsule there. Like the memories of my past lives it holds my greatest treasures. My favorite place holds the scent of fresh lemons and trees, because it holds two of the largest Magnolia trees I’ve ever seen in South Carolina. The Magnolia tree is my favorite tree so, it was only right for it to grow in my favorite place. I love the soft white petals of the flowers that bloom and the big green glossy leaves. My favorite place tells the true me peaceful, calm,

full of love, beauty, and serenity. Describes me perfectly I’d say. What does your favorite place say about you?

In the process of growing and living with plants, I've observed them enough to pick up a few life lessons. The trail out back the beauty of nature and the smell of the fresh air. The leaves they’re falling all around you. As you walk the trail leads you to a big waterfall that not many people know about. As you just sit on the rock and watch the leaves fall while the sun sets it’s the most beautiful thing you could ever see. Listening to the birds make their music while lying on the rock besides the water. It’s calm and relaxing; However it can get a bit chilly. Sometimes if you take the four wheeler or dirt bike out back Zoey will run along side of you. Zoey is our dog she runs just as fast as the four wheeler does. Then I imagine of being a little girl again going out back with my dad. We used to catch salamanders on our way to where we were going.…

Every person has at least one significant place that is cemented in their memory more than others. No matter where it is, it appears much more richly in our minds than most other places, and triggers a series of emotions and recollections. Some of the most prominent memories of my childhood spring from my family’s annual Christmas spot in Paris Landing state park. This little stretch of cabins in the woods is one of the most vivid and precious memories I have.…

My grandparent’s home was located in this little town named San Joaquin. The house was a little white house with a brown trim. This house has been around since my grandparents emigrated from Mexico, and my mother was only thirteen years old. When I say small, I mean the house was really small. This house contains one bedroom, a bathroom, kitchen, and a living room. The thing that it had was a nice front and back yard but they were also small. In the back yard my grandpa had it filled with different types of plants and crops. He had corn, chilies, tomatoes, and different sorts of things. The back of the house looked like a jungle. And he also had a chicken house and a dog that was solid black named Spike. This is also where my grandparents’ raise their ten kids. When we would visit everybody would sleep in the living room, in the bedroom, or just where you fitted but that never seem to be a problem.…
