I should never be separated from my family as I am protected by Human Rights. Article 12 protects me from an interference of my family. I should never be separated from my family no matter what, but in “Night” it’s a different story. Human Rights are violated daily, just that they aren’t really given much attention, that is when the violation is minor. Not every violation is given much attention, but they all should be given attention even if it is minor. Something like Guantanamo Bay was given attention, although not that many people still don’t really know what is going on inside Guantanamo Bay. Although the number of prisoners has been reduced since opened on January 11, 2002, there is still some prisoners in there that might be innocent and don’t deserve to be tortured. According to an article named “Jailed without trial for Life?”, that there are more al-Qaeda and Taliban followers than there are leaders, but many prisoners there are innocent. They are innocent because a lot of the prisoners were just at the wrong place at the wrong time, and they are being held guilty because of that. Let’s keep in mind that these prisoners are suspected terrorists. Also, a lot of these prisoners are being held by Indefinite detention. According to Wikipedia, Indefinite detention is the incarceration of a person by law enforcement or national government without trial. Indefinite detention violates national and international laws, and also human rights.
