Purpose of this assignment
This unit aims to give learners an understanding of current thinking on nutritional health particularly relating to users of health and social care services. Learners will then be able to apply this understanding and make recommendations to improve the nutritional health of an individual.
Scenario: You have been asked to produce information for staff in your placement explaining nutritional health for the service users.
Task 1
Produce a booklet designed to improve the nutritional health of patients in a health centre. You need to include a range of concepts associated with nutritional health.

This provides evidence for P1.

Choose 2 groups of individuals and discuss the similarities and differences in their nutritional and energy requirements.
This provides evidence for P2, M1.
Task 3

Explain possible influences on dietary intake.

Assess how these influences may have an effect on the nutritional health of individuals.
