In this assignment I will be describing the different types of specialist tourism as well as providing examples for each of the types of tourism.

Adventure tourism
Adventure tourism is tourism which takes place in an unusual place and it is an exciting experience, this involves exploration of an area. This is different to the typical beach vacation for example going to bungee jumping or rock climbing would be classed as adventure tourism. Adventure tourism generally involves some form of physical activity and is when someone does something for the thrill.

Exodus is part of TUI, is part of a larger company and it is integrated.
The company specialises in providing adventure holidays including walking, biking, overland, snow and multi-activity as a packaged holidays which includes accommodation stay.
EXPLORE( https://www.explore.co.uk/ )
Explore is a medium sized company and its independent. It specialises in offering adventure holidays, activities and experiences. It offers walking, trekking and cycling as part of the adventure tours. The latest brochure has a choice of 450 adventures to choose from
KE Adventure travel (http://www.keadventure.com/ )
KE adventure is an independent adventure travel operator; it’s a big company which specialises in providing trekking, walking, climbing, mountain biking, winter sports etc. It also offers tours.
One of the adventure holidays they offer is a walk to the Amalfi Coast, it’s an 8 day holidays with flight included.
One of the adventure holidays they offer is to New Zealand. This tour includes exploring the snow caped mountains and roaming the colourful streets of Napier.
Some of the adventure holidays they offer is to climb the North Africa’s highest peak in the winter conditions, to stand on top of the world’s highest active volcano ‘Cotopaxi’ and to climb the Aconcagua.
