Explain the sequence and rate of each aspect of development from birth to 19 years of age. You should include all areas of development including: physical (fine motor, and gross motor), emotional, social and intellectual (including communication). Complete the table below:

0 to 3 months of age:
Physical development at this stage is usually very rapid. At birth babies depend on reflexes for movements to enable them to feed or grasp whenever they touch something. By age one; they have much more control over their bodies. They are beginning to crawl, shuffle, pulling or pushing on things to stand etc.
Children start by recognising familiar voices; like parents voice and they stop crying when they hear them. They later begin to respond to smiles and make noises as well. They put things in their mouth to explore. They respond to moving objects and respond to bright colours and bold images.
When babies are born they cry to communicate most of their needs. As they grow older, they become very attached to their parents /carer. They experience instant extreme emotions like very happy, very scared, very angry etc.
Newborns babies are sociable, they love to be touch, held, and smile at. Babies may begin to experiment with making faces at you. Babies enjoy watching your
