Uniform CPA Analysis
To become a certified public accountant, I must pass all four parts of the Uniform CPA Examination. Each of the four parts of the examination is graded on a scale of 0 to 99, using a rigorous scoring structure with a minimum passing score of 75. I plan to concentrate on each section of the exam one section at a time and schedule my next portion of the exam whether or not I have passed that section. If I do not pass a section on my first try, I will immediately take it again until I pass every section of the CPA

The Principles of the AICPA Code are aspirational statements that form the foundation for the Code’s enforceable rules. The Principles guide members in the performance of their professional responsibilities and call for an unyielding commitment to honor the public trust, even at the sacrifice of personal benefits. While CPAs cannot be legally held to the Principles, they do represent the expectations for CPAs on the part of the public in the performance of professional services. In this regard, the Principles are based on values of the profession and traits of character (virtues) that enable CPAs to meet their obligations to the public. The Principles include (1) Responsibilities; (2) The Public Interest; (3) Integrity; (4) Objectivity and Independence; (5) Due Care; and (6) Scope and Nature of Services.…

Students who are currently enrolled in the program are being stereotyped as nerds who are very into studying and numbers. Accountancy students also carry high expectations from the professors, for the accountancy program itself had created its reputation in the university. Students also undergo a tough training ground for the preparation on their board exam, thus the Accountancy Department implements a retention policy. Under the 2007 curriculum, students must obtain a semestral grade of at least 2.75 in Fundamentals of Accounting 1, Fundamentals of Accounting 2, and Financial Accounting 1. However, starting school year 2012-2013, the department has adopted the new curriculum under 2011. Students must now obtain a semestral grade of 2.50 in Fundamentals of Accounting 1, Fundamentals of Accounting 2, Financial Accounting 1, Financial Accounting 2, and Financial Accounting 3.
