In health sector might be discrimination a Pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, Gender reassignment and race.

2. Describe how people’s values and beliefs may differ. Think about the range of people you come into contact with to help you answer this question.

Description of their values and beliefs
How might they differ from your own beliefs or from other people’s?
Ben grow with his grandmother, his grandmother always says that need respect older people, help them.and Ben grow up a good men.Ben is very helpfully.and help to older people and even younger people.
Ben help other people, because he has a respect to other people(older people). He don’t judge people. Ben help to people, because he think, that with his help, world will go to better direction.
Other people don’t think that, they must required to help other people,if they need a help. Some of the people think, that its not their affair.and some people don’t have kind of that respect to older people.
A Reichel, she has a friend gay. And she adopt his sexual orientation. Even when Reichels friend say that she is stupid.

Reichel don’t care who is gay or who is not, because she is valued the person not a orientation. She accept that range people.she also feel respect for them.

Her friend been discrimination Reichel friend.

3. Read these scenarios. Can you identify ways in which the people in them can be treated fairly in accordance with their needs?
Scenario 1
Carl is a care assistant at a residential care home. Another care assistant, Helen, has worked there for a long time and is often not particularly fair to residents whose catering needs are different from others. So to vegetarians, she might say “Don’t you miss bacon?” and to Jewish residents she might say “the chef will have to prepare yours differently won’t she? That’s gonna take extra time for her.” She has also commented on Muslim residents’ needs to fast at certain times of the year and to pray at certain times of the day. Carl is uncomfortable when she does this and feels it may jeopardise his working relationship with her.
Person
How can they be treated fairly?
How is this treatment in accordance with their needs?
Carl

He can tell about Helen and her behaviour to manager. Because Carl, cant work like this with her, because he has different behaviour to patient.he need to tell, because he need a good workplace, without discrimination. He must Focus on shared outcomes, cause this is very imporant
This will be change behaviour what patient gets from Helen. And after that, they can feel comfortable, and do not hear from Helen that kind of discrimination.and patient will feel much better and open to the carers.

Vegetarians

He has a right to be equality with others, and do not hear Helens ridicule about that he don’t eat becon. He has right to say about Helen to Carl or manager, that he don’t like how she speak with him, that he feel discrimination about that.Helen should respect their needs and rights.
This will help him to feel much better and to not feel discrimination about what kind of food he eat.and also hes needs ir to eat the food-the same what he eats(vegetable). He has right to eat what he wants.also he will act better to treatment as a patient.
Scenario 2
Dean has mild Downs Syndrome and enjoys an active and busy life with friends and family. He has applied for a job as a hospital porter. The interview goes well but Dean does not get the job. Dean’s friend Rajesh works at the hospital and tells Dean’s parents that he didn’t get the job because the manager has preconceptions about the capabilities of people with Downs Syndrome. Rajesh gets into trouble from his manager for speaking his mind and revealing confidential information.
Person
How can they be treated fairly?
How is this treatment in accordance with their needs?
Dean
He has right to get at least a chance to get this job and try. Dean must been ask the manager why he didn’t get this jobs(reasons).
He has right to be equality, not different from others.
This accordance with Dean needs,to get the chance,he has a right for that. He also has a right to get a any jobs,if he can do this job and if he is sure about this, then yes,he has every rights to be get this job.
Rajesh
Rajesh rights was that he was not allowed to share this confidential information,he brake the law. Rajesh maby can speak with the manager and tell him, that Dean be able to do this job, just like advice. Rajesh should not be to tell about this to his parent. Because Rajesh has a job which is like confidentiality in some new. Rajesh should apologize to manager, and tell that this would never happen again.
This accordance with Rajesh needs, that he might be loose his job,to not loose he should apologize. And discuss this incident about manager. Rajesh should feel very bad. Because he shouldnt tell about this to Dean parents.
He must focus on the needs patients not on the others. This is his responsibility.

Section 3: Know how to respond to behaviour that is discriminatory
1. Take a look at the examples in the table below (or use your own). Complete the table by outlining the discriminatory behaviour and explaining how it undermines equality and diversity.
Example of situation in the workplace
Which behaviour is discriminatory?
How does it undermine equality and diversity?
A nurse who is not openly gay is outed by his friend and colleague. Patients overhear and refuse treatment. Colleagues taunt him over the issue.
Abuse of power.
By his friend and collegues using their power to place certain people (co-workers, service users) in difficult situations.
Everybody must treat equality. Without taunt.
But respectfully.
This undermine that,there no equality.
A healthcare assistant suspects one of the residents in the care home has dementia but instead of approaching the resident’s family or her manager about the issue, she simply tells her colleagues what she thinks. Everyone starts treating the resident differently. As a result, the resident is confused and becomes withdrawn.
Physical abuse,
In result she confused and becomes withdrawn.
It may also be things like rough and insensitive moving and lifting of service users.
He harm her in psysical behaviour.
The patients start feels confused,as a result she become withdrawn.and she don’t feel anymore a equality.
But feel diversity treatment. And this crash her, like a person.
This undermine her on the bad way.
A pregnant administration assistant in a clinic approaches her line manager about her fears for her job after she goes on maternity leave. Her line manager suggests she shouldn’t have got pregnant in the first place and says “We will need to replace you in some way. I can’t guarantee you’ll have a job to come back to.”
Abuse of power.
Bullying-this behaviour that aims to undermine and threaten another person can be classed as bullying.
Couse manager bullying that she might loose her job, because she goes on mayernity leave.
Bullying somebody,its a crime.
This show, that the women should not get a pregnant, that this is something bad(as the manager said)
This undermine a pregnant and maternity.
Manager show her, that in her job don’t have a equality.

2. Choose one of the situations from the table above. How would you report this discriminatory behaviour, and what impact would your actions have?
Situation
Which method or procedure would you use to report this behaviour?
What impact would your actions have?
A pregnant administration assistant in a clinic approaches her line manager about her fears for her job after she goes on maternity leave. Her line manager suggests she shouldn’t have got pregnant in the first place and says “We will need to replace you in some way. I can’t guarantee you’ll have a job to come back to.”
I would fill the complaint form, about this issue(discrimination behaviour).
Disciplinary procedure

make it possible to deal with this specific problem and to collate information so that any wider trends can be identified and addressed. So after this incident, manager will follow her right(a pregnant and maternity act) and will be equality. The organisation will have process deal with employer who brakes the rules, about discrimination.there will be investigation about this issue(complaint). Consequences-manager will have verbal warning or even imeediate dismissal.but if he will repeat this incident, the he will loose his job.
A healthcare assistant suspects one of the residents in the care home has dementia but instead of approaching the resident’s family or her manager about the issue, she simply tells her colleagues what she thinks. Everyone starts treating the resident differently. As a result, the resident is confused and becomes withdrawn.
I will complaint to service provide, about this discrimination behaviour.will complaint to manager.
Face-to-face. Or make a complaint form.
Grievance procedure
Will have my complaint dealt with efficiently, and properly investigated.i must know the outcome of any investigation into my complaint. Also if i want to,then make a claim,i will receive compensation if you've been harmed. Also healthcare will have a investigation with manager about that issue,he will have disciplinary meeting. Consequences this might be a immediate dismissal, couse this is very serious breach of the rules.and this process is documented,so this will be a very bad experience(reference).
