Chapter 1: Research Problem

1.1 INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Nowadays, a lot of people use social network as one of their communication tools. Examples of social networks are Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Path and other social network. But in Indonesia a lot of people do their business online by using social network. The most common one is Twitter. Biz Stone, Evan Williams and Jack Dorsey created Twitter in 2006. Twitter is known as social network that allow the user to write their mind in 140 characters only and the user’s followers can read the user’s tweet (post). Twitter became tools to spreads the news, a lot of media use Twitter to report their news so people will know the news immediately. Examples are news about natural disaster, politics, sports,
