Trump Rally Reflection
My experience at the Donald J. Trump Rally far surpassed my expectations. With major media companies attempting in sensationalizing events occurring at Trump Rally’s to earn broadcasting views, I had expected it to be a mad house. With uncomfortable confrontation with picketers at the beginning of the rally, the majority of the rally had reminded peaceful. Overall, my attendance at the Trump Rally greatly informed me of the ways many politicians speak in front of an audience and what the motives are behind their claims. The horror stories from past rallies had almost lead me not to attend Friday morning’s festivities. I was uneasy about the idea of picketers and I had been afraid of a violent riot caused by Tump’s opposers. However, its interpretation was changed within the first five minutes of standing in line at the rally. There was an African-American woman standing to the side of the line holding a sign that read, “No hate, No racisucm, No Tump” (yes she did misspell racism). This woman had been very polite and was walking back and forth in the line with her sign. A Trump supporter had yelled at her once she had come by her and even mentioned that she was going to call the police and inferred that she should be afraid of the police because of her skin color. After taking our seats, we waited almost three hours, and even Trump himself was late to his own party. The rally began in a group prayer to bless the central valley farmers, and then Trumps main campaign manager took the stage due to Trumps tardiness. For nearly 25 minutes, an anti-Hillary speech was performed that included the subjects of isis, bin-ghazi, and her role as secretary of state. I, myself, am not technically a Hillary supporter, but I thought that the speech was tacky and overdone. I was not attending a Trump rally to hear about Hillary; tell me what Trump is going to
