Trip to Pakistan (Personnal Writing)
Trip to Pakistan

It was the last day of school, I was happy so were fellow class mates. This day was going to be the best day and the six weeks that we were given of from school. As the time got closer to the end of the day all students in the class were lining up In front of the door like a formula one race, they all were so eager to leave the school. But it did not feel right to me leaving and forgetting about all the fun time I had in the school. The bell siren went of and there went my friends running down the hall and out the school, but I decided to stay back and say ‘Goodbye’ to all the teacher that had tutored me all through the five years. When that was over and done with I went straight home so I could relax and enjoy the six weeks, but there was another surprise when I got home – ‘I was going Pakistan’ for six weeks. This was defiantly my best day – I packed all my stuff together and staked it up on the side of my bed, I was ready to leave home and go to another country.
It was Saturday morning the Sun was out with clear skies, I waved goodbye to all family, friends and relatives and of I went on a three hour journey to Birmingham, while I was sitting In the car one of my family member started playing some ‘wired’ music which I did not like, so I opened the window and watched the trees one after one a trees appeared this made me sick, so the final thing I did was go to sleep.
When my eyes opened I was out side the airport, people were rushing in and the people that came out were sad and some had tears. I went running to the terminal that I was meant to be on, got my ticket check and was on the airplane, I was just waiting for it to lift up. Not knowing that It was going to be along flight, I watched videos, listened to music and messed around with the lights then all of a sudden It got bored everyone was asleep and no one was about to talk to me, so I went to sleep again.
When my eyes opened I was at Islamabad airport my granddad was waiting out

I'm six years old, and I'm secretly watching the girls in my class loudly chatting in the corner of the classroom. It's 2008, and I'm quietly sitting on my desk, wondering to myself: "Am I not important enough for a simple goodbye?". I nervously shift on the chair, impatiently waiting for the minutes to tick by. My red sweater is itching against my throat. The teacher came in and we begin class as usual. Ms. Claudia is talking about our final reflections…

I wake up from my sleep as the airplane is starting to descend. Once again I look down the window and see things that look like ants on their way to their home. Once the airplane descends more the ants looking things start taking the shape of cars and trucks driving down the freeway. Finally after just about five minutes the wheels of the airplane hit the ground and the captain of the flight gives the news that we have landed safe and on time. While we are waiting for the captain to tell us we could get off I start thinking of the things that might happen in my new…

We were at the airport after a bouncy bus ride there. When we got there we were unpacking the bus and waiting to get our suitcases. While I was waiting, people from my group didn’t know me and asked me if I was ready to get on that plane since it was my first time. They told me that it was going to be better than the leaping bus ride there. Finally I got my suitcase and we all started heading to the check in line. As the line was getting closer to the check in desk I was getting more and more nervous. I felt like my stomach was burning and felt that my organs wanted to scream and get back on that bus. But I was a big girl and sucked it up and got in line to get in. We approached the plane and I was getting more anxious and nervous. I stepped in the hallway that leads to the plane seats and sat down next to the window, which I think was a bad idea. Once the plane was full it started to back away from the building and started to go faster and…

All I heard was dogs barking. I rolled over and looked at the time. It was 6:48. I got up and got dressed. Mom was already waiting for me downstairs. We went outside and walked down the road to the bus stop. I was so sleepy but I had already made a commitment and I just couldn’t back out. The bus came and we got on. It was so warm and toasty, the perfect atmosphere to take a nap. Within minutes my eyes started to droop, I just couldn’t keep them open. Then without even realizing it, I was fast asleep.…

So during the very first day of school, I was lost. I followed the crowd to my homeroom, and incidentally grabbed one of the brown bags. As I marching up the stairs, people start looked into the bags and so do I. Same with all the transfer students, I don’t know what to do on the first day of school, so I sat down in the corner. I ate my cereal quietly hope no one realize my presence, but the teacher called me up to introduce myself.…

Finally, it was the end of the day. Finding my next class was easier. I still wasn’t in time, but neither were the other kids. When my 6th period ended, it was a huge relief. I thought the day was finally over. But I still had to get on the bus again to go home; therefore it still wasn’t completely over. I went to our locker, grabbed my take-home textbooks and checked to make sure I didn’t lock the combination in there again. I forgot which way to go, so I followed around my boyfriend. When I got outside, all the buses were in…

The bright sunshine beamed through the window in my room. I woke up, it is a normal school day again, I sighed and got out of my bed slowly. Mum was cooking in the kitchen while dad was sitting at the table, reading a thick book. It seemed that he was always waiting for me. A simple conversation always began with ‘how is school these days?’, ‘good’ I answered reluctantly. Then came a long silence, I did not know why there were no words between us, probably because I could not feel any freedom here at home.…

    Research Paper on Pakistan

I chose to do my research on the customs and lifestyles of Pakistan and their people. It took me quite a while to get in contact with someone who lives there, but once I finally did, I made a friend for life! I was very curious how the Pakistani's felt about Americans, and if I could get an honest answer from someone there. My friend "Hussain" assured me that although there are extremists, just as there are everywhere, who take their hatred for America, and for any other country that they feel "threatened" by, and use it to destroy innocent peoples lives. For instance, like the suicide bombers that we hear of so often, they would be considered "extremists". As far as the "common people" as Hussain put it, they understand that our government (meaning President Bush and his administration) is doing what must be done in order to protect the citizens and/or the "common people" of America.…

It was March 13, 2003 and I could hardly sleep the night before with anticipation, I hadn't gone on a trip in two years and I was a little nervous. It would be the 1st time I would fly since September 11, 2001 and the whole thing made me uneasy. I double-checked what I packed, shook off the nervousness and began to get ready for bed. Falling asleep was the furthest thing from my mind but slowly as I thought of things to do I drifted into a deep sleep.…

It was a normal day at school. As always my morning was hectic and I was almost late. I dressed in the first thing I could find clean in my room. I had to walk to school, which wasn’t all that bad because it was a warm spring morning. I got to school and it felt like it was going to be a long day. Everyone felt that way. There was a feeling of anxiousness in every class. Finally, it was the last block. Some kids did the same old bathroom trip to kill time. While the people who really had to “go” had to wait for the procrastinators to come back. All of a sudden everything seemed quiet. Someone got up and packed their belongings to get out of school, but to everyone’s disappointment there was still five minute left in the day. 4 minutes…time dragged on…3 minutes….and on 2 minutes whoever made the rule to get out at 2 O’clock anyway?? OH MY GOSH 1 minute!! Just then the principal came on the intercom saying to everyone he wished us a happy and safe summer! *DING* *DING* *DING* the bell rang and a quick quiet breath of relief came and went in an instant. A few screams of joy echoed in the halls! SCHOOL WAS OUT!!! I’m finally out for good. There was a joy and sadness feeling floating around. I was so excited I nearly tripped over my own feet heading towards the…

It was a scorching sun noon. That day, I dragged my feet to go home in a depressed mood. Holding the mark chart of the last semester tightly in my hand, I was transfixed and I even didn’t want to cry: I was at the last position of all students in my class. I felt that thin paper was as heavy as thousands of pounds...because I knew how much sad and disappointed my parents would be. I can’t help thinking about my mother‘s eyes dimmed with tears. I wasn’t strong enough to cope with that horrible sight; I decided to write a letter enclosed the mark chart and left home. I wandered through all streets in my beloved city with a friend of mine and then came to sleep at one of my classmates’ house. The first night far from parents, from loving house was as long as a century. I tossed about sleeplessly all through the night with indescribable feelings. I was lost in thought of myself. At the thought of my mother, I compassionated her a lot. Why did she have a daughter like me? A resplendence sensation was full in my heart. I…

The morning of the first day of school, the butterflies were bouncing of my stomach like children on a sugar rush. As my mum put on my blazer on tied my school shoes nice and tight she could tell I was nervous and tried to reassure me every thing would be fine and every other child would be felling the same way. I should have listened to her she spoke the truth. However I thought what dose she know, I had heard the stories of wicked teachers and class bullies. The car ride there was like a rollercoaster ride, when your go right to the top and do not know what is on the other side of the peak. My mum still tried to reassure me every thing was going to be ok. However the television had filled my mind with horrors stories I could not forget. At that age I believed every thing I saw on television. Meanwhile I was trying to put a brave face on. It was always the children who cried on T.V that got bullied. I believed the class room would be like the desert and children like…

When I arrived at St. Patrick’s on the school bus Mr Howard was there to welcome us. His friendly words made me feel less anxious. Once the bell rang all first years had to go to the boy’s gym for an assembly. When we arrived Mr Rafferty, Mrs Corey and Mr Howard spoke about proper uniform, the rules and being on time for class. After they had told us everything I felt a bit panicky encase I was late for class or maybe if I failed to remember to do my homework. Before we were sorted into class groupings all first years were handed their first book, a homework diary. I really liked the front cover because it was bright and colourful. Shortly afterwards we were put into our classes. I was excited about finding out what class I would be in. The name of my class was Eight Derg and I was thrilled to find out that I was in the top class. I was happy there were two people from my primary school in my class and their names were Shane and Darren.…

Even in school, my close friends seemed to have forgotten my birthday. That day was not like I thought. After recess, suddenly my English teacher, Puan Batrisya called me to go to the teacher’s room. I was scolded by Puan Batrisya as my essay was not as good as before. I was asked to redo the essay in the teacher’s room after class dismissed. Then, I went to her classroom. I felt unhappy as I thought that that day would be the most wonderful day I ever had. After school, I did the essay as I was asked. I was in the classroom for two hours to finish my homework.…
