1. Departure Details
Two of my friends and I are planning a road trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We plan to leave on Friday, April 25th, 2014. Since all three of us want to go together and enjoy as much as we can, we first have to plan all the details for the trip carefully.
2. Destination Details
Our destination is going to be South Carolina. This is one of the most crowded cities in the US, so we have to plan our trip ahead of time to avoid any dangerous situations throughout our trip. We hope to reach our destination on Sunday, April 29th, 2014.
3. Total Round Trip Kilometers
The trip is going to cover about 3800km all together. It is roughly going to take 2 or 3 days to get to our destination (we will also be stopping to rest).
4. Preparing your vehicle
Before leaving, we will make sure that our vehicle is in perfect condition. If there is something that needs to be fixed, we will get it fixed before we depart. Also, we will make sure that we have all of the emergency equipments in our car that is necessary.
5. Preparing the Driver
We should make sure that the driver should get enough sleep before the trip, so the driver can concentrate. We will also be changing the driver once in a while, so no one gets tired.
6. Route directions and street names
We plan to take the route on I-40 E because it is very familiar to us, and the faster way to go. The traffic should be fast moving, and shouldn't slow us down too much.
7. Rest Stops
Six-hundred miles is probably about how far we will drive each day, and then we will stop and rest for the night in a hotel. Before we stop, when it starts getting late we will switch off drivers taking turns, therefore no driver gets too tired. The approximate price we plan to spend on a hotel will be $100 each time. Also, the total price on food for all three of us should be around $75. We will also stop to fill up the gas. The total gas price will be approximately $218.63 one way.
