Trejour Case Study: Behavior Progress
Behavior Progress: Since the last court review, Trejour has continued to participate in all aspects of the program with minimal concerns. Trejour has not received any sanctions or room restrictions this period. Staff reports that Trejour has still displayed some struggle with irritation and short temperness; however he responded in a positive manner to all redirection and avoided escalating his behavior.

With regard to community-based activities this review period, Trejour and his peers participated in the Greenhouse plant sale that grossed over $2100.00. The funds raised will support summer activities for the participants of the Post-D program. Trejour did an exceptional job working with his peers, staff and assisting customers with their purchases. At the plant sale, Trejour expressed his enjoyment in working as a salesman and was praised by staff for his enthusiasm and work ethic. In addition, Trejour was named Top Salesman for placing in first place in sales.

As previously reported, Trejour completed Staying Quit, the substance abuse program. On May 17, 2016, Trejour successfully completed MRT.

Educational Progress: Trejour has continued to perform well in school. During this review period, Trejour passed his Algebra I, US/VA History, and English 11 Writing SOL. Trejour has also earned his Occupational Safety and Health Administration-Generalist Certification and is currently working towards completing his Occupational Safety and Health Administration-Construction Certification.

Continuing Needs: There are concerns regarding Trejour’s struggle with managing his emotions and anger. The Treatment Team feels that it’s to Trejour’s benefit to continue therapy sessions post program in order to provide him additional support. Trejour has been adamant that he does not need to continue counseling services. Dr. Watkins has recommended that

He went on to discuss the five stages of change, which are precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance.
